Webometrics, Capaian Masih Lemah di Scholar dan Rich File

Sekalipun telah masuk orbit universitas kelas dunia ala Webometrics, capaian Unnes masih lemah pada aspek scholar dan rich file.

Mona Subagya, Ketua Divisi Jaringan BPTIK Unnes mengemukakan hal itu saat menjadi pembicara Workshop Pengintegrasian Portal Unnes dengan Portal Garuda yang diselenggarakan oleh Tim Pengembang Jurnal Unnes, Selasa (11/10) di Ruang Sidang Biologi Gedung D6 Lantai III FMIPA Unnes. Workshop diikuti para pustakawan tiap-tiap jurusan dan pengelola jurnal pada setiap fakultas di Unnes.

Untuk mengukur peringkat Webometric, kriteria yang digunakan adalah size, visibility, rich file, dan scholar. Size atau ukuran website adalah jumlah halaman yang terindeks oleh empat mesin pencarian utama, yaitu   Google, Yahoo, Live Search, dan Exalead. Visibility atau ketertampakan website yaitu jumlah keseluruhan  tautan ekternal yang unik  dan terdeteksi oleh  Google search, Yahoo Search, Live Search, and Exalead. Rich filesatau banyaknya dokumen yaitu banyaknya file yang terdeteksi, khususnya file yang memiliki tingkat relevansi terhadap aktivitas akademik dan publikasi ilmiah. Bentuknya  Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), Adobe PostScript (.ps), Microsoft Word (.doc), dan Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt). Adapun scholar atau kepakaran, yaitu paper atau karya ilmiah dan kutipan-kutipan yang ditemukan dalam Google  Scholar.

“Untuk mengatasi kelemahan tersebut, perlu strategi peningkatan berupa kebutuhan integrasi jejaring data pustaka Unnes dengan Portal Garuda dan peningkatan kebutuhan Unnes untuk pemeringkatan Webometric,” kata Mona.

Iyan Rizanto, Kasubdit Hak atas Kekayaan Intelektual dan Publikasi Kemdiknas yang juga menjadi pembicara mengemukakan, untuk mengekspose hasil karya ilmiah dan penelitian Indonesia, Dikti telah mengembangkan pengelolaan terintegrasi secara nasional.  Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) merupakan portal yang diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana efektif dalam penyebarluasan informasi dan komunikasi antara perpustakaan, kontributor, dan individu pengguna untuk bertukar informasi.

“Garuda mencakupi e-journal domestik dan karya ilmiah, laporan penelitian, skripsi, tesis, disertasi, paten, proseding, Standar Nasional Indonesia, dan pidato pengukuhan guru besar. Pada saat ini sudah ada 45 kontributor dalam Portal Garuda dari perguruan tinggi dan lembaga penelitian di Indonesia,” katanya.

Dalam laporannya, Ketua Panitia Workshop Zaenal Arifin mengharapkan hasil workshop ini dapat untuk menjalin kerja sama dan berkontribusi dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan kemajuan peradapan bangsa, berpartisipasi dalam menyediakan layanan dan akses global, menghindari plagiarisme serta duplikasi kegiatan penelitian. Selain itu, mendorong kolaborasi penelitian, mendorong terwujudnya hasil penelitian bertaraf internasional dengan pegintegrasian antara Portal Unnes dan Portal Garuda.

Kegiatan yang dibuka Kepala BAAKK Heri Kismaryono ini juga menampilkan Sutikno, Koordinator Tim Pengembang Jurnal Unnes sebagai pembicara.
