Perkuat Riset dan Inovasi Akademik, UNNES Kukuhkan 7 Profesor Baru

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali menambah deretan profesor melalui pengukuhan tujuh guru besar yang dilaksanakan pada Kamis (02/10/2025). Acara yang berlangsung khidmat ini dihadiri Ketua, Sekretaris, dan Anggota Senat Akademik UNNES, Komisi Profesor, para Wakil Rektor, Ketua Lembaga, Dekan, Direktur Pascasarjana, Wakil Dekan, serta sivitas akademika. Turut hadir keluarga para profesor dan tamu undangan lainnya.

Tujuh dosen yang dikukuhkan sebagai profesor yaitu:

  • Prof. Dr. F. Widhi Mahatmanti, M.Si. (FMIPA)
  • Prof. Dr. Rumini, M.Pd. (FIK)
  • Prof. Dr. Mugiyo Hartono, M.Pd. (FIK)
  • Prof. Dr. Agus Cahyono, M.Hum. (FBS)
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Rahmat Doni Widodo, S.T., M.T. (FT)
  • Prof. Dr. Drs. Asrori, M.S. (FEB)
  • Prof. Dr. Aditya Marianti, M.Si. (FMIPA)

Dalam orasi ilmiah, masing-masing profesor menyampaikan pemikiran dan riset yang mereka kembangkan di bidang keilmuannya.

Prof. Dr. Drs. Asrori, M.S. menyoroti pentingnya penguatan lembaga keuangan Islam agar bank syariah di Indonesia semakin maju.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Rahmat Doni Widodo, S.T., M.T. memaparkan inovasi bahan terapan, salah satunya pengembangan kampas rem kereta api non-asbes yang lebih aman, ekonomis, dan ramah lingkungan.

Prof. Dr. Agus Cahyono, M.Hum. menekankan seni pertunjukan pesisiran sebagai ruang dialektis yang merekam identitas, spiritualitas, dan kritik sosial.

Prof. Dr. Mugiyo Hartono, M.Pd. menghadirkan gagasan pendidikan jasmani sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter jujur, disiplin, dan tangguh, tidak sebatas teknik olahraga.

Prof. Dr. Rumini, M.Pd. menekankan peran pendidikan kepelatihan atletik dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan motorik, kesehatan fisik, dan karakter anak.

Prof. Dr. F. Widhi Mahatmanti, M.Si. menegaskan pentingnya riset material fungsional, termasuk pengelolaan limbah, sejalan dengan visi konservasi UNNES.

Prof. Dr. Aditya Marianti, M.Si. mengkaji ilmu toksikologi untuk mendeteksi bahaya logam berat bagi lingkungan serta kesehatan manusia, sekaligus mencari solusi penanganannya.

Rektor UNNES, Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si., dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa profesor bukan sekadar gelar akademik, melainkan pengakuan atas kecemerlangan dalam menjalankan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi.

“Profesor diharapkan dapat menjadi bara yang menjaga api akademik terus menyala melalui karya dan pemikirannya. Mereka juga harus mampu menjadi inspirasi bagi mahasiswa agar semakin mencintai ilmu pengetahuan, menjadikan ilmu sebagai pilihan hidup untuk memperindah kehidupan,” ungkap Rektor.

Acara pengukuhan ditutup dengan ucapan selamat dari tamu undangan kepada para profesor yang baru dikukuhkan. Dengan penambahan tujuh guru besar ini, UNNES semakin meneguhkan posisinya sebagai universitas konservasi yang unggul dalam riset, pendidikan, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
