Perkuat Reputasi, Dosen UNNES Jadi Keynote Speaker di Australia

Dosen-dosen Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali menunjukkan kiprahnya di kancah internasional. Kali ini Dr. rer. nat. Adi Nur Cahyono, M.Pd., dosen Pendidikan Matematika dari Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) UNNES, mendapatkan kehormatan untuk menjadi salah satu keynote speaker konferensi pendidikan matematika terbesar di Australia.

Konferensi tersebut adalah 15th International Congress on Mathematical Education (ICME-15) pada (7/7) – (14/7) yang diselenggarakan di International Convention Centre, Sydney.

Kongres empat tahunan ini merupakan pertemuan terbesar di dunia dalam bidang pendidikan matematika yang menghadirkan 2392 delegasi dari 97 negara dan dibuka oleh Presiden International Mathematical Union (IMU) dan Presiden International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI).

Dalam kongres tersebut dilaksanakan 4 plenary lectures, 2 plenary panels, 30 discussion groups, 84 workshops, 54 Topic Study Groups, serta penganugerahan tiga penghargaan tertinggi di bidang pendidikan matematika yaitu: Emma-Castelnuovo Award, Hans Freudenthal Award, dan Felix Klein Award. Presiden dan jajaran Excecutive Commitee dari International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI) telah ditetapkan untuk masa jabatan 2025-2028.

Adi dari Centre for Research on Math Trails with Digital Technology (mathtrailslab.id) FMIPA Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) mendapatkan pendanaan dari panitia untuk menghadiri kongres, dan berpartisipasi aktif sebagai delegasi.

Ia juga mempresentasikan makalah hasil proyek kolaborasinya dengan Austria, Inggris, Finlandia, dan Spanyol tentang Virtual Reality STEM Trails pada Topic Study Group “The role and the use of technology in the teaching and learning of mathematics at upper secondary and tertiary level”. Pada saat yang sama ia memamerkan poster tentang STEM Trails hasil proyek bersama konsorsium universitas di Indonesia yang didanai Kemdikbudristek RI pada Topic Study Group “Popularization of Mathematics”.

Di sela-sela agenda kongres, Tim Math Trails Lab FMIPA UNNES juga memanfaatkan kesempatan untuk mengadakan meeting dengan mitra potensial dari beberapa negara untuk membahas projects yang telah berjalan maupun rencana projects yang direncanakan untuk dilaksanakan. T

erdapat projects baru yang disetujui dengan mitra untuk direncanakan implementasinya, baik project kerja sama antar peneliti/grup riset, antar institusi (UNNES dan Perguruan Tinggi Mitra), serta antar Konsorsium Universitas-universitas di Indonesia dan universitas-universitas di luar negeri, dengan UNNES sebagai leader di Indonesia.

Setelah ICME-15 berakhir, Dr. Adi melanjutkan perjalanan ke Melbourne untuk memenuhi undangan dari Deakin University Australia untuk menjadi Keynote Speaker dalam 10th Southeast Asia Design Research Conference (SEA-DR10) bertema “Fostering common sense in learning: Unveiling the potential of design research” yang diselenggarakan oleh Deakin University bersama konsorsium beberapa universitas di Asia Tenggara didukung oleh Freudenthal Institute, Utrecht, Belanda.

SEA-DR10 diselenggarakan selama dua hari, pada Senin-Selasa (15/7)-(16/7), dengan paparan 4 keynote speaker yang berasal dari Austria, Finlandia, Taiwan, dan Indonesia, dilanjutkan dengan PhD panel discussions, Invited lecture, Professor panels, Co-design with teachers, dan Parallel sessions.

Dr Adi d bersama Prof Dr Zsolt Lavicza menjadi Keynote Speaker SEA-DR10 dengan memaparkan materi tentang “Fostering teachers’ innovations: Integrating augmented/virtual reality and 3D printing into teacher education”. Setelah konferensi berakhir, acara dilanjutkan dengan agenda roundtable discussion untuk membahas potensi kolaborasi antar universitas di masa mendatang.

Dua kegiatan internasional ini adalah bagian dari upaya UNNES untuk meningkatkan reputasi global dan memperkuat jejaring kerja sama internasional. Dukungan yang diberikan untuk partisipasi dalam kegiatan ini adalah wujud nyata dari visi UNNES untuk menjadi Universitas Bereputasi Dunia dan Pelopor Kecemerlangan Pendidikan yang Berwawasan Konservasi.
