Perkuat Kualitas Pendidikan Tinggi, UNNES dan Sekretariat Kabinet RI Jalin Kerjasama

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terus berupaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tinggi melalui berbagai kerjasama strategis. Salah satu langkah terbaru adalah penandatanganan nota kesepahaman (MoU) dengan Sekretariat Kabinet Republik Indonesia (Setkab RI), Kamis (30/05/2024).

Kerjasama ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat sinergi antara dunia pendidikan tinggi dengan pemerintahan guna mencetak lulusan yang kompeten dan siap bersaing di tingkat nasional maupun internasional.

Acara penandatanganan MoU yang berlangsung di Ruang Vicon, Gedung Rektorat UNNES ini dihadiri oleh Sekretaris Universitas (Sekun) UNNES, Wakil Dekan Bidang Riset dan Inovasi UNNES, Direktur di lingkungan UNNES, dan Staf Kerjasama UNNES.

Sekretaris Universitas, Prof. Dr. Sugianto, M.Si. berharap kerjasama dengan Sekretariat Kabinet RI semakin menguatkan peran UNNES dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia.

“Kami sangat senang bisa menerima kunjungan kerja ini, menjalin kerjasama dengan Sekretariat Kabinet RI. Kami juga berharap nantinya dari Sekretariat Kabinet RI ada yang menjadi dosen tamu UNNES melalui program Praktisi Mengajar,”  ungkap Guru besar Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam tersebut.

Sementara itu, dari Sekretariat Kabinet RI turut hadir Deputi Bidang Administrasi, Farid Utomo, S.H., M.H. bersama 26 pejabat dan pegawai di lingkungan Sekretariat Kabinet RI.

Menurut Farid, Sekretariat Kabinet RI memiliki fungsi penting dalam menunjang kinerja Kabinet Presiden. Selain itu, Sekretariat Kabinet RI juga menjadi pembina nasional dalam bidang penerjemahan.

“Salah satu tantangan saat ini adalah kebutuhan penerjemah yang handal. Oleh karena itu, kami telah menjalin kerjasama dengan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni UNNES dalam bidang penerjemahan agar lebih siap menjawab tantangan tersebut,” ungkap Farid.

Kerjasama ini memiliki lingkup seputar pendidikan, pelatihan, peningkatan dan pengembangan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, Sit In, Joint Research, dan program MBKM.

Melalui kerjasama ini, UNNES berharap dapat terus meningkatkan perannya sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi yang tidak hanya fokus pada pengajaran, tetapi juga aktif dalam penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Langkah ini juga diharapkan dapat memperkuat posisi UNNES di kancah pendidikan tinggi nasional dan internasional.
