Perkuat Kerja Sama Internasional, UNNES ikuti Joint Working Group Indonesia-Prancis 2024

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terus berkomitmen terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dan penelitian internasional guna mencapai visi menjadi Universitas Bereputasi Dunia, UNNES berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan Joint Working Group (JWG) Indonesia-Prancis 2024. Kegiatan ini berlangsung pada Selasa-Jum’at (2/7 – 5/7) di Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) , Jawa Timur.

Joint Working Group (JWG) Indonesia-Prancis merupakan sebuah kegiatan tahunan yang memiliki tujuan memperkuat hubungan bilateral antara kedua negara dalam bidang pendidikan tinggi dan penelitian. Dengan tema “Fostering Indonesia-French Higher Education, Research, and Innovation Partnerships for an Advanced and Sustainable Future” diharapkan menghasilkan kolaborasi yang lebih erat antara universitas-universitas di kedua negara, yang mencakup pertukaran pelajar dan staf, program penelitian bersama, serta pengembangan metodologi pengajaran.

Kepala Kantor Urusan Internasional UNNES, Ass. Prof. Lulu April Farida yang hadir sebagai delegate dari UNNES terlibat aktif dalam diskusi aktif mengenai berbagai topik, termasuk teknologi informasi, ilmu pengetahuan alam, ilmu sosial, dan humaniora. Dalam kesempatan ini UNNES juga mempresentasikan beberapa produk unggulannya yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan dalam booth yang dipamerkan dengan tema “Fashion Konservasi menuju Reputasi Dunia”.

Selain kegiatan diskusi formal dan high-level meeting, terdapat kegiatan lain untuk memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta untuk memperluas jaringan profesional melalui sesi informal seperti booth visit/speed dating. Kegiatan ini membuka peluang luas bagi peserta pameran untuk membuat networking dan partnership dalam membentuk kolaborasi strategis yang dapat mendukung kerja sama dan pengembangan lebih lanjut di bidang pendidikan.

Rektor UNNES, Prof. S. Martono, M.Si menyatakan bahwa partisipasi UNNES dalam JWG ini merupakan salah satu langkah dalam mengukuhkan posisi UNNES sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi yang berdaya saing global.

“Kami percaya kolaborasi internasional dalam JWG membuka peluang bagi mahasiswa dan staf akademik dalam mengembangkan diri, dan memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi,” ungkap Prof. Martono.

Saat ini UNNES telah membangun berbagai kerjasama dengan mitra dari Prancis diantaranya Prodi Sastra Prancis dengan Laborate LAIRDIL France, dan Pendidikan Bahasa Prancis dengan Institut Francais Indonesia, Inalco Paris, Universite de Nantes. Selain beberapa institusi diatas, saat ini UNNES juga tengah menambah kemitraan dengan Université de la Rochelle dalam hal students exchange, internshup, faculty exchange, research project collaboration, international conference and summer course.

Partisipasi UNNES dalam JWG Indonesia-Prancis diharapkan akan menghasilkan sejumlah inisiatif konkret yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam waktu dekat. Kerja sama ini diharapkan tidak hanya akan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan penelitian UNNES, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada penguatan hubungan bilateral antara Indonesia dan Prancis dalam jangka panjang.
