Perkuat Branding Digital, UNNES Gelar Workshop Pengembangan Strategi Kehumasan dan Promosi Kampus

Di tengah arus informasi digital yang kian masif, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menggelar Workshop Strategi Pengembangan Kehumasan dan Promosi Perguruan Tinggi di Ruang 405 Rektorat UNNES, Kota Semarang, Kamis (5/6/2025). Kegiatan ini menghadirkan praktisi sekaligus akademisi komunikasi, Sinta Pramucitra, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., serta diikuti oleh tim Humas Universitas, Gugus Humas dari sembilan fakultas dan Sekolah Pascasarjana, serta student staff.

Kepala Seksi Humas UNNES, Dr. Surahmat, S.Pd., M.Hum., menjelaskan selama ini praktik kehumasan di UNNES masih banyak dilakukan secara learning by doing, sehingga dibutuhkan tambahan wawasan, inspirasi, dan arahan.

“Sejauh ini kita masih learning by doing. Kita perlu menambah pengetahuan, inspirasi, serta bimbingan dari sosok yang memiliki latar belakang ilmu komunikasi,” jelasnya.

Sementara itu, Kasubdit Humas dan Layanan Terpadu UNNES, Eko Febrianto, S.Pd., M.Kom., menegaskan pentingnya meningkatkan sinergi dan inovasi humas dalam membangun citra kampus.

“Perlu adanya kolaborasi dan diskusi agar ke depan kampus semakin baik. Tujuannya bukan hanya mengenalkan bahwa UNNES itu hebat, tetapi juga membangun keterhubungan emosional—agar publik yang melihat media sosial merasa dekat dengan UNNES,” tegasnya.

Disisi lain, Narasumber sekaligus Dosen Ilmu Komunikasi USM Sinta Pramucitra, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom. mengungkapkan bahwa komunikasi di era digital bukan lagi sekadar menyampaikan informasi, tetapi membangun relasi dan reputasi.

“Identitas digital institusi harus dikelola dengan konsisten, baik secara visual maupun naratif. Strategi komunikasi harus mampu menjawab kebutuhan audiens melalui kanal yang tepat dan dengan pendekatan berbasis data,” ungkapnya.

Ia juga menyoroti pentingnya pemanfaatan teknologi komunikasi seperti media sosial, chatbot, dan tools analitik dalam strategi kehumasan perguruan tinggi. “Engagement, storytelling, dan tone yang relevan jadi kunci utama agar audiens merasa dekat dengan institusi,” tambahnya.

Kegiatan ini menjadi ruang pembelajaran strategis sekaligus refleksi bagi para pelaku humas di UNNES dalam menjawab tantangan komunikasi di era digital. Diharapkan, hasil dari workshop ini mampu memperkuat branding dan promosi UNNES agar semakin relevan dan berdampak di mata publik.
