Peringati HUT DWP ke-26 dan Hari Ibu, DWP UNNES Gelar Seminar Kesehatan

Dalam rangka memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) ke-26 dan Hari Ibu ke-97 Tahun 2025, DWP Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menggelar Seminar Kesehatan bertema Deteksi Dini Kanker Payudara.

Kegiatan ini menjadi salah satu upaya UNNES dan DWP untuk memperluas edukasi kesehatan bagi perempuan sekaligus memperkuat peran organisasi dalam mendukung peningkatan kualitas hidup keluarga dan masyarakat.

Seminar dilaksanakan di Auditorium Prof. Wuryanto UNNES pada Kamis (11/12) dan diikuti oleh pengurus DWP UNNES, mahasiswa, serta masyarakat umum.

Hadir sebagai narasumber, dr. Chandra Aquino Tambunan, Sp.B., FINACS., FICS., M.H., C.Med., yang memberikan pemaparan mengenai pentingnya deteksi dini kanker payudara.

dr. Chandra Aquino Tambunan menegaskan bahwa kanker payudara masih menjadi salah satu penyakit dengan angka kejadian tinggi di Indonesia, dan banyak kasus ditemukan pada stadium lanjut. Karena itu, edukasi mengenai pemeriksaan dini, termasuk praktik SADARI dan pemeriksaan klinis, menjadi sangat penting untuk meningkatkan peluang penyembuhan.

Ketua DWP UNNES, Ibu Karniti S. Martono, dalam sambutannya menyampaikan apresiasi atas terselenggaranya kegiatan ini. Ia menekankan bahwa peringatan HUT DWP dan Hari Ibu merupakan momentum untuk memperkuat kontribusi perempuan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan.

“Melalui seminar ini, kami berharap para ibu dan mahasiswa putri dapat memperoleh wawasan yang lebih luas tentang deteksi dini kanker payudara, sehingga semakin peduli terhadap kesehatan diri dan dapat membagikan pengetahuan ini kepada keluarga serta lingkungan sekitar,” ujarnya.

Sebagai bentuk kontribusi UNNES dalam mendukung Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), kegiatan ini selaras dengan SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being serta SDG 5 – Gender Equality.

DWP UNNES menyampaikan bahwa penyelenggaraan kegiatan edukatif seperti seminar ini merupakan bentuk nyata kepedulian terhadap kesehatan perempuan. Seminar diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya pencegahan dan deteksi dini terhadap penyakit yang banyak dialami perempuan Indonesia.

Melalui seminar ini, DWP UNNES menegaskan komitmennya untuk terus menghadirkan program-program berdampak yang mendukung peningkatan kesehatan dan pemberdayaan perempuan secara berkelanjutan.
