Peringati Hari Olahraga Nasional, UNNES Gaungkan September Prestasi

Dalam rangka memperingati Hari Olahraga Nasional yang jatuh pada 9 September, Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menggelar kegiatan meriah pada Senin (08/09/2025) di Lapangan FIK. Acara dibuka dengan senam bersama yang diikuti oleh dosen, tenaga kependidikan, dan mahasiswa. Suasana penuh semangat menandai dimulainya rangkaian kegiatan olahraga di bulan September.

Selain senam, acara juga dirangkaikan dengan pencanangan September sebagai bulan prestasi, pelepasan kontingen Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa Nasional (POMNAS), serta peresmian lapangan olahraga permainan baru. Peresmian fasilitas yang selesai direnovasi ini disambut antusias sivitas akademika karena akan mendukung pembelajaran dan latihan secara lebih optimal.

Dekan FIK UNNES menyampaikan bahwa olahraga tidak hanya menyehatkan, tetapi juga menjadi alat pemersatu bangsa sekaligus sarana untuk mengharumkan nama Indonesia. Ia menegaskan bahwa September akan dipenuhi kegiatan prestisius, mulai dari seminar internasional, pertandingan olahraga tingkat nasional, hingga POMNAS yang digelar pada 19–28 September mendatang.

“Tahun ini, UNNES menjadi tuan rumah tiga cabang olahraga, yaitu wushu, tenis lapangan, dan panahan, serta dua cabang ekshibisi yakni football dan pickleball,” ujarnya.

Dalam kesempatan itu, Dekan juga menyampaikan apresiasi atas dukungan universitas yang telah merampungkan renovasi lapangan olahraga permainan. Menurutnya, fasilitas baru ini diharapkan mampu memacu semangat mahasiswa dan dosen dalam melahirkan prestasi. Ia juga meminta Rektor untuk memberikan arahan sekaligus melepas kontingen POMNAS UNNES.

Kontingen UNNES yang akan berlaga di POMNAS terdiri atas 73 mahasiswa sebagai atlet dan 73 dosen sebagai official. Mereka dipersiapkan untuk membawa nama baik universitas dengan menjunjung tinggi sportivitas. Dekan berharap kontingen ini mampu menunjukkan kemampuan terbaik di ajang olahraga tingkat nasional tersebut.

Rektor UNNES dalam sambutannya memberikan pesan inspiratif kepada mahasiswa. Ia menekankan bahwa olahraga bukan hanya soal kesehatan, tetapi juga sarat dengan nilai hidup.

“Olahraga mengajarkan sportivitas dan kejujuran. Di arena, karakter seseorang akan terlihat, apakah ia jujur dan sportif atau tidak. Saya berharap mahasiswa UNNES menjadikan olahraga sebagai sarana membentuk karakter dan meraih prestasi membanggakan,” tuturnya.

Rangkaian peringatan Haornas di FIK UNNES berlangsung meriah dan penuh makna. Melalui semangat September Prestasi, pelepasan kontingen POMNAS, serta peresmian lapangan baru, UNNES menegaskan perannya sebagai universitas yang konsisten membangun generasi muda sehat, berkarakter, dan berprestasi di tingkat nasional maupun internasional.
