Perbedaan Pendidikan Seni Tari dan Seni Tari

Sobat UNNES, memiliki bakat dan passion di dunia tari adalah sebuah anugerah. Namun, saat memutuskan untuk membawanya ke jenjang kuliah, banyak calon mahasiswa yang terjebak dalam kebingungan klasik: pilih jurusan Seni Tari (murni) atau Pendidikan Seni Tari?

Sekilas keduanya tampak sama, mempelajari gerak tubuh dan estetika. Padahal, perbedaan pendidikan seni tari dan seni tari sangatlah fundamental. Salah memilih jurusan bisa berarti mengarahkan kariermu ke tujuan yang berbeda dari impianmu.

Mari kita bedah perbedaannya!

1. Fokus Kurikulum dan Pembelajaran

Perbedaan paling mendasar terletak pada “menu” mata kuliah yang akan kamu santap setiap hari.

  • Seni Tari (Murni): 

Di sini, fokus utamanya adalah penciptaan dan penyajian. Kamu dicetak untuk menjadi seorang seniman profesional (performer) atau pencipta karya (choreographer). Kurikulumnya didominasi oleh pendalaman teknik tari (tradisional/modern), komposisi tari, manajemen pertunjukan, hingga kritik seni. Porsi praktik menari sangat dominan.

  • Pendidikan Seni Tari: 

Di jurusan ini, kamu dicetak untuk menjadi pendidik dan akademisi. Kamu tetap akan belajar teknik tari dan menari dengan luwes, namun kamu mendapatkan “senjata” tambahan yang tidak dimiliki jurusan murni: ilmu pedagogik. Kamu akan mempelajari Psikologi Pendidikan, Strategi Belajar Mengajar, Kurikulum, hingga Evaluasi Pembelajaran. Tujuannya adalah agar kamu mampu mentransfer ilmu tari tersebut kepada orang lain secara efektif.

2. Output dan Prospek Karier

Ini adalah poin yang paling menentukan arah hidupmu pasca kampus.

  • Lulusan Seni Tari

Target utamanya adalah industri kreatif dan pertunjukan. Karier yang relevan meliputi penari profesional di company tari, koreografer, manajer panggung, atau peneliti budaya.

  • Lulusan Pendidikan Seni Tari

Cakupannya lebih luas dan stabil secara institusional. Kamu disiapkan menjadi Guru Seni Budaya (PNS/PPPK) di sekolah formal, Dosen, Instruktur di sanggar tari, hingga pengembang kurikulum seni. Namun, karena kamu juga memiliki kemampuan menari, tidak menutup kemungkinan lulusan pendidikan juga menjadi koreografer atau penari.

3. Gelar Akademik

Gelar yang akan kamu sandang di belakang nama pun berbeda.

  • Lulusan Seni Tari biasanya bergelar S.Sn. (Sarjana Seni).
  • Lulusan Pendidikan Seni Tari bergelar S.Pd. (Sarjana Pendidikan).
