Penting, Pendidikan Karakter dan Kebencanaan dalam Pembelajaran

Masyarakat Indonesia mengalami kriris mental dan kehilangan jati diri. Karakter seringkali dikaitkan dengan berbagai persoalan sosial seperti kriminalitas, korupsi bahkan bencana alam misalnya, banjir. Banjir terjadi tidak hanya dikarenakan  faktor alam saja, tetapi ada campur tangan manusia didalamnya.

Hal itu mengemuka dalam seminar dan lokakarya yang diselenggarakan Prodi Geografi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) Unnes, Kamis (21/6).

Seminar bertema “Peningkatan Profesionalisme Guru IPS melalui Pengembangan Bahan Ajar dan LKS Berbasis Karakter dan Kebencanaan” itu diikuti oleh ratusan peserta yang terdiri dari mahasiswa S1, mahasiswa Program Pascasarjana dan guru IPS se-kota Semarang.

Salah satu pembicara, Kepala Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Provinsi Jawa Tengah Sarwa Praman, mengatakan ikut senang atas diadakannya seminar ini. “Karena kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan yang mencoba untuk mengkritisi berbagai permasalahan yang terjadi sekitar kita. Terutama tentang bagaimana membangun karakter dan pentingnya pengetahuan kebencanaan diterapkan dalam studi pembelajaran dan kehidupan sehari hari,” ungkapnya.

Sarwa juga mengatakan, dirinya siap memfasilitasi para akademisi Unnes yang ingin belajar tentang kebencanaan, meliputi deteksi dan upaya yang dilakukan dalam menghadapi bencana.

  1. Bener kehilangan jati diri Dan budaya malu juga sudah kurang, apakah inii pendidikan atau pengaruh lingkungan, kalo bencana selalu menyalahkan alam, Karen a bencana timbul Karen a perbuatan manusia it u sendiri.

  2. yuhuu penting banget tuh, tapi kelihatannya kemaren yang menyelenggarakan Prodi Pendidikan Geografi, bukan Prodi Geografi soalnya saya ikut seminar itu bagus banget looohhhh, like buat jurusan Geografi.

  3. karakter dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan, lingkungan tidak jauh dari kebiasaan dan norma2 apalagi bencana datang dengan seketika.. banget2 karakter harus dibangun dengan norma dan dari lembaga terkecil yaitu keluarga.
