Pengembangan Olahraga Harus Berbasis Ilmu Pengetahuan

Forum Dekan Fakultas Keolahragaan se-Indonesia berupaya menyinergikan dunia olahraga Tanah Air dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Hal ini diperlukan supaya prestasi olahraga nasional meningkat. Salah satu caranya, Forum Dekan mendorong pemanfaatan hasil penelitian di bidang olahraga dalam bidang kepelatihan.

Dalam pertemuan dengan Menpora Roy Suryo, Ketua Forum Dekan Fakultas Keolahragaan se-Indonesia Harry Pramono mengungkapkan, peningkatan prestasi olahraga nasional tidak bisa dilakukan secara konvensional. Pemanfaatan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi niscaya dilakukan . Terlebih, fakultas keolahragaan dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia produktif menghasilkan aneka rsiet.

“Hasil riset menunjukkan bahwa olahraga semakin memperkuat prestasi, kesehatan dan dampaknya mempengaruhi secara ekonomi. Untuk pengembangan olahraga ke depan,” kata Harry.

Harry yang mewakili Universitas Negeri Semarang datang bersama anggota Forum Dekan Fakultas Keolahragaan se-Indonesia lain, antara lain Hari Setiono (Universitas Negeri Surabaya), Alifudin (Universitas Negeri Makasar), Risdiyanto (FIK Universitas Malang), Rumpis Agus Sudarko (Uiversitas Negeri Yogyakarta), Arsil (FIK Universitas Negeri Padang), Yunyun Yudiana (Fakultas Pendidikan Olahraga UPI), dan Nurhasan (FIK Unesa).

Harry menambahkan, perguruan tinggi memiliki peran yang strategis dalam pengembangan dunia olahraga. Tiga belas fakultas keolahragaan yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia memiliki setidaknya 37 ribu mahasiswa. Selain itu, fakultas keolahragaan seluruh Indonesia juga memiliki 956 dosen. Forum Dekan juga bersinergi dengan Asosiasi Guru Besar Keolahragaan.

Menpora Roy Suryo menyambut baik gagasan ini. “Apa yang bisa sama-sama kita lakukan, kita siap menjalankan, menyinergikan dengan program Kemenpora,” ujar Menpora. Dalam pertemuan yang berlangsung hangat itu itu Menpora didampingi Deputi Peningkatan Prestasi Djoko Pekik Irianto, Asdep Agus Mahendra, dan Siti Safariatun. –Rahmat

    makin mantap gaung unnes di luar kampus, termasuk pak dekan kita…. dan pagi ini sak kost heboh (campuran teman2 4 kampus)…. baca koran pagi ini pak rektor UNNES dipinang jadi wagub. Wah, seneng deh dan bangga , tapi hati kecil takut ditinggal pak Soedijono, bagaimana nasib pertumbuhan kampus kebanggaanku yang lagi berkembang ini….
