Pendaki Mahapala Unnes Terbang ke Amerika

Setelah dilepas Rektor Prof Fathur Rokhman, (11/11) lalu, mahasiswa pecinta alam (Mahapala) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) pendaki gunung tertinggi di Amerika bertolak dari bandara A Yani Semarang, Kamis (14/11) sore.

Mereka Miftakhul Ulum Fakultas Teknik (FT), Putra Tri Atmaja, dan Hermawati keduanya dari Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP). Keberangkatannya dilepas Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Prof Masrukhi.

Hadir pada pemberangkatan orang tua dan keluarga atlet, Drs Ruswondho dosen pendamping Mahapala, Edi Soedjoko MPd koordinator dosen pendampin Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) minat dan kegemaran, Pembantu Dekan (PD) FE, FIP, Ketua Mahapala, Ketua Panitia ekspedisi, Ketua Tim Teknis, serta anggota Mahapala.

“Dengan menyebut nama Allah, semoga Allah merindoi setiap langkah kalian di dalam keberangkatan menuju Argentina Amerika mendaki sampai puncak gunung Aconcagua mengibarkan bendera Unnes, bendera Indonesia, dan bendera Mahapala sampai kembaki ke Unnes,” kata Prof Masrukhi.

Selain pendakian, jelas Prof Masrukhi, mereka juga mempromosikan seni, budaya, pariwisata Indonesia, kebangsaan, dan study banding di bidang konservasi serta kemahasiswaan di Universitas Bruenos Aires.

Perjalanan dari Semarang ke Jakarta, Jakatara ke Turki, Turki ke Amerika ini memerlukan banyak tenaga, kata Prof Masrukhi, karena menempuh waktu 36 jam paha hal kalau naik haji hanya memerlukan 11 jam. “Ini tiga kali perjalanan naik haji oleh karena itu jagalah kondisi tubuh,” tegasnya.

Setelah sampai di Amerika lakukan yang terbaik menjaga nama besar Unnes dan bangsa Indonesia dalam hal kebersamaan, kedisiplinan, dan tanggung jawab. Serta memberi kabar kepada Unnes sehingga selalu ada saling komunikasi. Mohon kontak person dicatat dengan baik dijadikan pegangan untuk berbagai kepentingan, pinta Prof Masrukhi.
