Pelatihan Penulisan Buku Teks, Mahasiswa Bahasa Indonesia Pelajari Langkah Penerbitan Naskah

Guna mendukung keterampilan penulisan buku teks dan cerita anak serta memahami strategi penerbitannya, Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia serta Prodi Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menggelar Workshop Penulisan Buku Teks, 22 Mei 2025, di Gedung B1 FBS UNNES.

Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh mahasiswa semester 6 dari Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia serta Prodi Sastra Indonesia. Pelatihan menghadirkan Dr Heru Kurniawan MA yang telah berpengalaman dalam bidang penulisan dan penerbitan buku teks maupun cerita anak.

Acara dibuka dengan penandatanganan kerja sama antara Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia serta Prodi Sastra Indonesia dengan Rumah Kreatif Wadas Kelir yang dimiliki oleh narasumber. Momen ini menjadi langkah awal kolaborasi akademik dan praktis untuk mendukung karya mahasiswa di bidang kepenulisan.

Dr. Heru Kurniawan membagikan berbagai kiat untuk meniti karier sebagai penulis buku teks dan cerita anak. Ia juga menjelaskan langkah-langkah menerbitkan naskah baik melalui penerbit mayor maupun secara independen.

“Tekun adalah kuncinya, karena ada banyak jalan menuju karier tersebut. Jika ditolak, coba lagi. Karena pada akhirnya tidak ada naskah yang sia-sia,” ungkap Heru dalam sesi penyampaian materi.

Heru juga membagikan kisah perjuangannya selama tiga tahun hingga berhasil menapaki dunia penerbitan dan dikenal sebagai salah satu penulis yang produktif di bidang literasi anak.

Koordinator Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Dr. Deby Luriawati Naryatmojo M.Pd, menyampaikan bahwa pelatihan ini merupakan wujud konkret penguatan pembelajaran berbasis praktik bagi mahasiswa. “Mahasiswa tidak hanya dibekali teori di kelas, tetapi juga langsung mendapatkan pemahaman dari praktisi agar mampu menghasilkan karya yang layak terbit,” ujarnya.

Sekitar 150 mahasiswa hadir dan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi selama kegiatan berlangsung, baik melalui sesi tanya jawab maupun diskusi langsung dengan narasumber. Dengan adanya workshop ini, diharapkan mahasiswa mampu mengasah kemampuan menulis buku teks dan cerita anak secara lebih profesional serta memiliki gambaran nyata terkait proses penerbitan di dunia industri literasi.

Dukungan terhadap SDGs poin 4 dan poin 17 tercermin dalam strategi pengembangan karir mahasiswa melalui kemitraan dengan pihak profesional dan dunia industri. Kolaborasi ini memungkinkan transfer pengetahuan, keterampilan praktis, serta akses terhadap peluang magang dan kerja yang relevan dengan bidang studi.
