Paguyuban Karawitan di Daerah Diresmikan

Pakumpulan Paguyuban Karawitan Jawa-Indonesia (Pakarjawi) di tiap-tiap daerah di Jawa Tengah resmi dibentuk, Minggu (16/9). Pembentukan pengurus daerah dilangsungkan bersamaan dengan rapat pengurus pusat organisasi itu di rektorat Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes).

Dalam sambutannya, Ketua Pakarjawi Pusat Drs Sutikno MSi menuturkan, Pakarjawi didirikan sebagai upaya pelestarian dan pengembangan seni tradisi Jawa, khususnya dalam bidang karawitan. “Semua hal yang terkait dengan bidang ini, termasuk sinden, menjadi hal yang harus diorganisir dengan baik,” katanya.

Sutikno juga mengatakan, Unnes sebagai inisiator akan selalu mendukung kegiatan yang berbasis tradisi. “Hal itu sejalan dengan visi konservasi budaya yang diusung kampus ini,” ungkapnya.

Wadah aspirasi

Di berbagai daerah terutama di Jawa Tengah, seni karawitan masih tumbuh subur. Jenis kesenian ini hampir selalu hadir dalam berbagai perhelatan adat dan seni tradisi budaya Jawa. “Sayangnya kekuatan besar itu hingga kini belum mempunyai wadah organisasi. Pakarjawi mencoba menjawab permasalahan tersebut,” ungkap Kepala Biro Administrasi Perencanaan dan Keuangan Unnes itu.

Karena tidak mempunyai wadah organisasi, menurut Sutikno, kelompok-kelompok karawitan berjalan sendiri tanpa adanya program bersama yang bermanfaat. “Mereka juga seringkali kurang memiliki kekuatan ketika menghadapi ketidakadilan dalam menjalani profesi sebagai pelaku seni,” ujarnya.

Rapat pembentukan pengurus daerah dihadiri oleh wakil dari masing-masing kabupaten, di antaranya Rembang, Pati, Demak, Kota dan Kabupaten Semarang, dan Surakarta. Selain itu Sragen, Grobogan, Kendal, dan Banyumas.
