Monumental, Unnes Luncurkan 108 E-journal

Sebuah karya akademik monumental dipersembahkan oleh Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) kepada masyarakat dunia. Tak tanggung-tanggung, 108 jurnal elektronik (e-journal)  diluncurkan oleh Rektor Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo, Rabu (18/7), di Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) kampus Sekaran.

Ke-108 jurnal itu berasal dari semua fakultas dan program studi, baik jenjang sarjana maupun pascasarjana di Universitas Konservasi. Kehadiran jurnal tersebut, selain sejalan dengan kebijakan paperless yang dikembangkan Unnes, juga untuk menjawab kebutuhan yang sangat besar dalam memublikasikan karya ilmiah dosen dan mahasiswa.

“Tak terbatas bagi  mahasiswa dan dosen Unnes, tapi bagi semua warga akademik di seluruh negeri ini, bahkan di seluruh dunia,” ungkap Rektor.

Dikatakannya, peluncuran  jurnal sejalan dengan kebijakan Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi (Dikti) Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemdikbud) terkait dengan kewajiban setiap lulusan, baik S1, S2, maupun S3 untuk memubikasikan puncak karya akademiknya lewat jurnal ilmiah.

Patut Diapresiasi
Dalam acara yang dihadiri Pembantu Rektor I Agus Wahyudin, para dekan, direktur, ketua lembaga, ketua badan, ketua jurusan, ketua program studi, Ketua Tim Pengembang Jurnal Sutikno, dan anggota tim pengembang jurnal itu, Rektor berkali-kali menyampaikan pujiannya. “Kehadiran 108 e-journal Unnes merupakan prestasi akademik yang patut diapresiasi sekaligus dirawat,” tandasnya.

Menurutnya, salah satu kekuatan terpenting perguruan tinggi terletak pada karya keilmuan. “Kalau perguruan tinggi tidak memiliki karya keilmuan, tinggal menunggu keruntuhan. Ia pasti tidak akan dipercaya dan ditinggalkan oleh masyarakat. Apa artinya perguruan tinggi bisa meluluskan mahasiswanya dengan begitu cepat jika dari sana tidak ada karya keilmuan yang lahir,” katanya.

Kembali diingatkan pula, Unnes senantiasa berpihak kepada masyarakat. “Unnes hadir karena masyarakat, maka untuk masyarakatlah Unnes diberikan. Termasuk 108 e-journal ini, hadir dipersembahkan kepada masyarakat luas,” katanya.

Rektor juga menyebutkan sejumlah nama,  mulai dari Gubernur Jawa Tengah Bibit Waluyo, Prof Haryono Suyono, hingga Dirjen Dikti Djoko Santoso sebagai tokoh-tokoh yang ke mana-mana turut memublikasikan kebaikan Unnes. “Lha ini orang Unnes diundang kok malah tidak datang,” kata Rektor menyentil sejumlah ketua jurusan yang tidak hadir saat peluncuran itu.

    Ibarat mata uang, jika sampai skripsi kursnya 3 dolar, maka kalau dilanjutkan sampai artikel kursnya bisa mencapai 10 dolar. Fasilitas untuk teman-teman yang kreatif.
