Modus Penipuan atas Nama Rektor Berganti lewat Telepon

Segenap civitas akademika Universitas Negeri Semarang diimbau agar lebih berhati-hati terhadap modus baru penipuan yang mengatasnamakan Rektor Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum. Pasalnya, penipu yang biasanya menjaring korban cuma lewat pesan singkat, kini telah melakukannya secara terang-terangan melalui percakapan langsung via telepon.

Hal itu dialami oleh salah satu mahasiswa Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Unnes. Pada Rabu (27/11) sore pukul 15.30, mahasiswa yang sedang menempuh Kuliah Kerja Nyata di Kecamatan Gemuh, Kendal, itu dijanjikan sejumlah uang jika mengikuti seminar yang, menurut penelepon, diselenggarakan oleh Dikti.

Berdasar pengakuan mahasiswa itu, dirinya terpilih menjadi salah satu “peserta” seminar karena belum pernah mengikuti kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh Dikti. Selain dia, berdasar pengakuan “rektor”, ada empat mahasiswa lain yang bakal turut serta dalam acara yang sama.

Mahasiswa juga dimintai nomor rekening. Dia sempat membacakan nomor rekening BRI yang telah dua tahun ia gunakan untuk menerima beasiswa dari salah satu lembaga pemerintah. “Tapi saya membiarkan telepon karena itu pasti penipuan,” ujar mahasiswa semester tujuh ini. Orang itu menghubungi lewat nomor telepon 08151666039.

Pada hari yang sama, hal lebih tragis dialami oleh seorang alumnus. Karena dijanjikan mengikuti sebuah acara di Jakarta, dia telah melakukan transfer uang sebesar Rp 8 juta rupiah ke nomor rekening 9000019260265 di Bank Mandiri atas nama Andra.

“Penelepon tahu detil data anak kami semasa kuliah sehingga membuatnya yakin bahwa itu Pak Rektor,” kata orangtua mahasiswa itu, saat dihubungi unnes.ac.id.

Berdasar keterangan mahasiswa yang sedang menempuh KKN, rektor palsu itu salah menyebut FBS sebagai “Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra” yang seharusnya Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni. “Tidak mungkin Bapak Fathur Rokhman salah menyebut kepanjangan FBS, karena saya tahu beliau dari fakultas ini. Penelepon itu memiliki warna suara yang besar,” ujarnya. Sumber lain menyebut, percobaan penipuan juga dilakukan kepada salah satu mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Unnes.

    maturnuwun sudah diberitakan info penting ini. Mbok yao Polisi menindaklanjuti laporan ini. apa tidak bisa dilacak data pemilik rekening yang dituju untuk mentransfer menipu. Saya yakin bisa. Lacak juga data pemilik nomor telpon penipu. mosok gitu aja ndak bisa. apa masalah kayak gini juga kudu KPK yang turun???

    Berdasarkan berita tersebut di atas, penipu sdah melanggar hukum secara serius, saya harap korban bisa segera lapor kpd polisi agar ditindaklanjuti dan tidak mengakibatkan korban lainnya. Kita semua harus waspada dan hati-hati !!!
