Program Studi Fisika FMIPA Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melakukan kunjungan kerja ke Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) Serpong, Tangerang Selatan, Banten pada 6 November 2025. Kegiatan ini dipimpin oleh Prof. Dr. Masturi, M.Si. selaku Koordinator Prodi Fisika, didampingi Dr. Sunarno, M.Si., Dr. Ian Yulianti, M.Eng., serta Fifin Dewi Ratnasari, M.Sc. dari tim MBKM Prodi Fisika. Rombongan diterima oleh Prof. Dr. Isnaeni, M.Sc., Ketua Kelompok Riset Fotonik BRIN, di Gedung Manajemen BRIN Serpong. Pertemuan ini menjadi ajang penting untuk memperkuat kemitraan akademik dan riset antara UNNES dan BRIN dalam bidang magang mahasiswa, penulisan tugas akhir, serta pembimbingan bersama, sejalan dengan upaya mendukung SDGs 4 (Quality Education) dan SDGs 17 (Partnership for the Goals).

Dalam sesi diskusi, BRIN memberikan apresiasi atas kerja sama yang telah berjalan baik antara kedua institusi, khususnya melalui kegiatan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) dan pembimbingan tugas akhir bersama. BRIN juga menyampaikan bahwa banyak alumni Fisika UNNES yang telah berkontribusi di berbagai pusat riset BRIN, bahkan beberapa di antaranya melanjutkan studi melalui program Degree by Research di Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) dengan dukungan kolaboratif BRIN. Selain itu, BRIN menawarkan peluang bagi UNNES, khususnya Program Magister (S2) Fisika, untuk membuka program by research dengan skema beasiswa riset BRIN, sebagaimana telah berjalan di beberapa perguruan tinggi mitra lainnya. Peluang ini memperkuat posisi UNNES sebagai institusi pendidikan tinggi yang adaptif terhadap dinamika riset nasional dan internasional.

Usai sesi diskusi, rombongan diajak berkeliling mengunjungi beberapa pusat riset unggulan BRIN, antara lain Pusat Riset Material Energi yang fokus pada pengembangan baterai, Pusat Riset Nanopartikel, dan Laboratorium Karakterisasi Fisika. Kunjungan ini didampingi langsung oleh alumni Fisika UNNES yang kini berkarier sebagai periset di BRIN, menunjukkan keberhasilan sinergi antara dunia akademik dan lembaga penelitian nasional. Prof. Dr. Masturi, M.Si. menyampaikan apresiasi tinggi kepada BRIN atas komitmen kemitraan yang telah terjalin. Ia menegaskan bahwa kerja sama ini akan terus diperluas dalam bidang pendidikan, riset, dan inovasi bersama, sebagai wujud nyata kontribusi UNNES terhadap pendidikan berkualitas (SDGs 4) dan kemitraan global yang berkelanjutan (SDGs 17).
