Tim Pengabdian Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) berhasil menyelenggarakan pelatihan dan sosialisasi pembuatan pupuk organik dari limbah pertanian, dan kotoran hewan pada Ibu-Ibu PKK serta kelompok tani dan ternak di RT 01 Dukuh Krajan, Desa Rejosari, Kabupaten Temanggung, pada Minggu, 2 Juni 2024.

Tim pengabdian terdiri dari tiga dosen Fakultas MIPA UNNES: Dr. Nuni Widiarti, Prof. Dr. Sri Haryani, dan Dr. Agung Tri Prasetya, bersama Siti Herlina Dewi, serta seorang teknisi, Yuan Meylia Rosanti, dan empat mahasiswa Prodi Kimia dan Pendidikan Kimia. Kegiatan ini berlangsung bersama kegiatan PKK Ibu-Ibu RT 01 dan diikuti oleh anggota kelompok tani dan ternak. Pelatihan mencakup praktik pembuatan pupuk kompos dari limbah buah dan sayur, serta kotoran kambing dan sisa pakan ternak. Kegiatan dilakukan luring dengan peserta sekitar 30 Ibu-Ibu PKK dan 15 Bapak-Bapak anggota kelompok tani dan ternak.

Dalam sambutan pembukaan, Prof. Dr. Sri Haryani menjelaskan tujuan kegiatan ini, diikuti oleh Bapak Sudirman, Kepala Dusun Krajan 1, yang mengucapkan terima kasih kepada tim UNNES atas pelatihan yang diberikan. Ia berharap Ibu-Ibu PKK dan Bapak-Bapak kelompok tani dapat memanfaatkan hasil pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan. Istri Kepala Desa Rejosari, Ibu Sri Arina Purwati, juga mengapresiasi kegiatan ini sebagai upaya pengembangan kemampuan mengelola sampah rumah tangga.
