FMIPA News-UNNES mengirim Dosen FMIPA Fidia Fibriana, Ph.D. untuk melaksanakan tugas sebagai Visiting Professor di Biotechnology (International Program), Faculty of Agro-Industry Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Thailand selama 1 bulan sejak 17 Juni 2024 berdasarkan surat nomor B/6744/UN37.1.4/DL.17/2024 dari Dekan FMIPA UNNES.
Fidia Fibriana, Ph.D. bergabung dalam Center of Excellence-Innovative Biotechnology for Sustainable Utilization of Bioresources (CoE-Innobio) di PSU Thailand untuk melakukan penelitian dan publikasi bersama tentang produksi enzim lipase dari yeast-like fungi dan aplikasinya dalam produksi biodiesel ramah lingkungan bersama Asst. Prof. Dr. Apichat Upaichit dan Prof. Dr. Benjamas Cheirsilp.
Fidia Fibriana, Ph.D. juga mengajar dalam mata kuliah 853-524 Research Techniques in Biotechnology (Course Credit 3) untuk mahasiswa Master Degree in Biotechnology. Perkuliahan dilaksanakan secara luring setiap hari Senin pukul 13.00-15.00 di Room 3304.
Pada minggu pertama, Fidia Fibriana, Ph.D. juga berkesempatan untuk menyambut tim dari FMIPA UNNES yang dipimpin oleh Wakil Dekan I dan II Bapak Zaenal Abidin, Ph.D. dan Dr. Isnarto. Tim FMIPA UNNES bersama-sama melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk guru-guru Indonesia yang mengajar di sekolah-sekolah yang tersebar di Thailand Selatan. Agenda kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini didukung dengan adanya kerja sama dengan Al Hidayah Waqaf Foundation for Education and Social Development dengan pimpinan yang merupakan sekaligus Staf Pensosbud KRI Songkhla, Bapak Adul Meatam.
Adapun pelaksanaan program ini adalah semasa jeda semester di UNNES sehingga program Visiting Professor ini tidak mengganggu tugas utama Tridharma. Kegiatan positif ini sangat didukung oleh FMIPA UNNES. Dekan FMIPA UNNES, Prof. Dr. Edy Cahyono, M.Si. menuturkan bahwa kegiatan ini memberikan pengalaman internasional kepada dosen FMIPA UNNES guna merasakan atmosfer akademik yang berbeda.
Fidia Fibriana, Ph.D. juga menjelaskan bahwa menjadi dosen di perguruan tinggi lain di luar negeri dapat menjadi sarana untuk mengajar dengan lebih baik karena kita dapat belajar dari dosen-dosen di PT tersebut dalam menyelenggarakan perkuliahan. Penyelenggaraan ini meliputi persiapan perangkat pembelajaran, menyiapkan Program Learning Outcomes (PLO) dan Course Learning Outcomes (CLO), serta bahan ajar. Kegiatan pembelajaran juga menjadi pemantik untuk memberikan suasana yang lebih segar dalam mengajar di FMIPA UNNES nantinya. Kelas-kelas di PSU telah disetting dengan konsep smart classroom di mana tersedia pelantang suara, LCD proyektor, papan tulis, OHP proyektor, speaker, ruang full AC, layar komputer touch screen, kursi yang nyaman untuk dosen dan mahasiswa, dan komputer sentral yang dikhususkan untuk penyimpanan data atau file bahan ajar berbasis cloud dan dapat diunggah serta diunduh di mana saja dan kapan saja, sehingga memudahkan dosen untuk tidak membawa laptop ke kelas.
“Konsep smart classroom ini diharapkan dapat menjadi inspirasi untuk pengembangan kelas di FMIPA UNNES nantinya,” tuturnya.
