Sebuah upaya untuk memperkenalkan dan melestarikan warisan budaya Indonesia telah dilakukan oleh Tim Universitas Negeri Semarang di Program Sanggar Bimbingan, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia pada 29 Februari 2024. Dipimpin oleh Prof. Dr. Nanik Wijayati, M.Si., dan Adi Satrio Ardiansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd., kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan permainan tradisional kepada anak-anak pekerja migran Indonesia di Malaysia.

Kegiatan tersebut menjadi langkah penting dalam menjaga dan merawat kekayaan budaya Indonesia yang telah lama diwariskan dari generasi ke generasi. Tiga permainan tradisional yang dipilih untuk diperkenalkan adalah Dakon, Bola Bekel, dan Lompat Tali. Ketiga permainan tersebut dipilih karena tidak hanya menyenangkan tetapi juga memberikan nilai edukasi dan kejujuran kepada para pemainnya.

Salah satu nilai yang ditekankan dalam kegiatan ini adalah kejujuran, yang diwujudkan dalam permainan Dakon. Dalam Dakon, pemain harus jujur saat mengambil dan membagikan biji pada lubang yang telah ditentukan. Hal ini tidak hanya mengajarkan anak-anak untuk jujur, tetapi juga memupuk rasa tanggung jawab dan fair play dalam bermain.

Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan alternatif bermain yang lebih sehat dan bermanfaat daripada terlalu banyak menghabiskan waktu dengan perangkat elektronik. Dengan mengenalkan permainan tradisional, diharapkan anak-anak dapat menemukan kesenangan dan kegembiraan dalam bermain tanpa harus terlalu bergantung pada teknologi modern.

Pengenalan permainan tradisional ini juga bertujuan untuk menjaga identitas budaya anak-anak Indonesia di luar negeri. Meskipun jauh dari tanah air, mereka tetap bisa merasakan dan memperkenalkan warisan budaya Indonesia kepada teman-teman mereka di Malaysia.

Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan anak-anak Indonesia di Malaysia dapat mengembangkan rasa cinta dan kebanggaan terhadap warisan budaya mereka. Selain itu, diharapkan juga muncul kesadaran akan pentingnya melestarikan dan memperkenalkan permainan tradisional kepada generasi muda, sehingga kekayaan budaya Indonesia tetap lestari dan terjaga.

Dengan adanya kolaborasi antara pendidik, peneliti, dan masyarakat, diharapkan kegiatan semacam ini dapat terus dilakukan secara berkelanjutan, tidak hanya di Malaysia tetapi juga di negara-negara lain yang menjadi tempat tinggal bagi warga Indonesia. Hal ini akan menjadi salah satu upaya nyata dalam memperkuat jalinan persaudaraan antarbangsa dan menjaga keberlangsungan budaya Indonesia di manapun mereka berada.
