Merajut Harmoni Bersama Warga Gunungpati

Bidang Pengembangan dan Kerjasama Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), mengadakan sarasehan antara pimpinan Unnes dengan mitra dan tokoh masyarakat sekitar kampus, di gedung rektorat Unnes, Jumat (6/3).

Keberadaan Unnes selama ini telah menjadi pendokrak popularitas Gunungpati sekaligus meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat sekitar kampus Unnes.

Camat Gunungpati menuturkan, Gunungpati terkenal berkat Unnes, untuk itu masyarakat mengharap peningkatan kontribusi nyata dan jalinan sinergi antara Unnes dengan masyarakat di lingkungan kampus.

“Masyarakat mengharapkan agar Unnes meningkatkan kontribusi nyata ke masyarakat Gunungpati. Masyarakat Gunungpati masih banyak yang tergolong kurang mampu, sehingga perlu peningkatan peran Unnes untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan melalui pemasaran produk masyarakat Gunungpati. Selain itu jalinan sinergi di berbagi bidang perlu dilakukan, seperti kegitan seni budaya di Gunungpati mohon dapat dipromosikan melalui Unnes,” tutur Camat Gunungpati.

Rektor Unnes, Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman mengungkapkan, kegiatan ini selain sebagai silaturahmi antara warga Unnes dengan warga sekitar Unnes, juga sebagai upaya menyelaraskan program kampus dengan kehidupan masyarakat sekitar, sehingga terjalin harmonisasi. Masukan dan harapan dari masyarakat sekitar akan dijadikan pijakan dalam pengambilan kebijakan di Unnes.

“Unnes ada di Gunungpati sehinga perlu jalinan harmonis dengan masyarakat Gunungpati. Dukungan , masukan, dan doa masyarakat Gunungpati sangat kami harapkan agar Unnes lebih memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat sekitar. Kebijakan-kebijakan yang akan diambil Unnes akan memperhatiakan masukan dan harapan dari masyarakat sekitar kampus,” kata Prof Fathur Rokhman.

Unnes akan mengadakan bakti sosial pada masyarakat sekitar kampus, dengan mengadakan senam bersama dan memberikan tempat atau stand bagi masyarakat untuk menjual produknya pada kegiatan pasar Sabtu-Minggu di kampus Sekaran.

Sarasehan ini selain dihadiri Pejabat Unnes, juga dihadiri oleh ketua RT, Ketua RW, Lurah, dan Camat Gunungpati.

  1. sudah saat nya kita memperluas perspektif, konservasi yang di emban Unnes bukan lagi sebatas green building atau penghijauan lingkungan, tetapi turut menjaga tatanan sosial (green society) & budaya masyarakat Gunungpati (Sekaran) juga merupakan tanggungjawab keluarga besar Unnes termasuk membela ekonomi kerakyatan. BEM FT Unnes telah memulai langkah tersebut dengan mendampingi Paguyuban Pedagang Lokal Sekaran (PPLS) dalam mengkaji keberadaan [retail modern berjejaring], semoga keluarga Unnes yang lainnya bisa tergerak hatinya untuk turun tangan. Sehingga apa yang telah didiskusikan tidak sebatas retorika, mari kita tingkatkan rajutan harmonisasi civitas akademika dg masyarakat lingkar kampus konservasi
