Menyatakan Tidak Bersedia Menjadi Calon Rektor, Satu Pendaftar Gugur

Satu dari delapan dosen yang mengumpulkan berkas pendaftaran sebagai bakal calon Rektor Unnes periode 2014-2018 keikutsertaannya gugur. Hal ini dikarenakan, hingga Kamis (4/9) pukul 16.00 WIB, Prof Dr Wiyanto MSi tidak mengirimkan surat keterangan tidak sedang menjalani tugas belajar.

Ketua Panitia Pemilihan Rektor Hendi Pratama SPd MA menjelaskan, keputusan Prof Wiyanto untuk tidak mengirimkan surat keterangan tidak sedang menjalani wajib belajar tersebut dikarenakan ia tidak bersedia menjadi calon rektor Unnes periode 2014-2018.

“Pada Kamis, pukul 11.00, beliau sudah menyatakan ketidaksediaannya. Dengan begitu, keikutsertaannya dalam proses pemilihan rektor gugur dan tidak dapat mengikuti proses berikutnya,” kata Hendi.

Sementara itu, Prof Dr Wiyanto menjelaskan, pada Rabu (3/9) sebenarnya ia belum mendaftarkan diri sebagai bakal calon rektor. Sebab, meskipun telah mengirimkan sejumlah berkas, ia tidak mengisi surat pernyataan bersedia menjadi calon rektor Unnes.

“Dalam surat pernyataan kesediaan menjadi calon rektor kan ada dua opsi, yaitu bersedia dan tidak bersedia. Kemarin saya belum memilih salah satunya. Siang tadi, saya menyatakan bahwa saya tidak bersedia,” terang profesor pendidikan fisika ini.

Wiyanto melanjutkan, ketidakikutsertaannya dalam proses pemilihan rektor merupakan keputusan yang telah dipertimbangkan dengan baik. Ia berharap proses pemilihan dapat dilanjutkan dengan baik dalam suasana sejuk.

Diberitakan sebelumnya, dalam proses penjaringan bakal calon rector Unnes periode 2014-2018 panitia menerima delapan berkas pendaftaran dari delapan dosen. Secara alfabetis, delapan dosen yang kemarin menyerahkan berkas adalah Dr Achmad Rifai RC MPd (FIP), Dr Edi Cahyono MSi (FMIPA), Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum (FBS), Dr Martitah MHum (FH), Prof Dr Masrukhi MPd (FIS), Prof Dr Soesanto (FT), Dr Suwito Eko Pramono MPd (FIS), dan Prof Dr Wiyanto MSi (FMIPA).
