Menwa Unnes Juara III Lomba Lari Nasional

Resimen Mahasiswa (Menwa) Batalyon 902 Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) meraih juara III dan harapan II dalam Lomba Lari 11 Kilometer Open Tingkat Nasional.

Lomba ini diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret (UNS) dalam rangka Dies Natalis XXXVIII UNS di Solo. Kejuaraan marathon yang merupakan agenda tahunan ini diikuti lebih dari 1.700 peserta yang terdiri atas beberapa kategori, yaitu umum, pelajar, TNI/Polri, dan Menwa.

Untuk kategori Menwa, juara I diraih oleh Feri Junaedi dari Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) Cimahi dengan catatan waktu 40 menit 4 detik, juara II Prasetyo dari Universitas Teknologi Pendidikan (UTP) Surakarta dengan waktu 42 menit. Sedangkan dengan catatan waktu 44 menit 16 detik Ahmad Muna Nur’aziz dari Unnes meraih juara III.

Selain juara III, delegasi Unnes juga meraih juara harapan II atas nama Benhart Satrio. Sebelum berlaga, Ahmad dan Satrio telah mengikuti pembinaan yang dilakukan secara intensif.

Aziz mengatakan, meraih juara III bukanlah hal yang mudah. “Banyak hal yang saya dilalui di setiap pembinaan yang dilakukan oleh atlet. Berkat semangat, dedikasi, loyalitas, serta sikap pantang menyerah, akhirnya perjuangan yang saya hadapi berbuah manis,” ungkap Aziz.

Dalam ajang ini setiap pelari harus menempuh rute sejauh 11 kilometer. Rute yang dilewati merupakan daerah perkotaan dengan medan yang datar, naik, turun, berliku-liku dan kondisi jalan beraspal. “Semoga dengan prestasi ini Menwa Unnes semakin jaya dan dikenal,” harapnya.
