Meningkat, UNNES Rangking 14 Indonesia Versi QS Sustainability Ranking 2025

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali menunjukkan komitmennya terhadap keberlanjutan dengan meraih posisi ke-14 dalam QS Sustainability Rankings 2025 versi QS Top Universities. Pencapaian ini menjadi bukti konkret atas upaya berkelanjutan yang dilakukan oleh UNNES dalam mendukung tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDGs) dan memperkuat reputasi kampus dalam aspek lingkungan, sosial, dan tata kelola (ESG).

Dalam peringkat terbaru yang diumumkan pada bulan Desember 2024, UNNES berhasil mencatatkan kemajuan signifikan dibandingkan dengan posisi sebelumnya. Pada QS Sustainability Rankings 2024, UNNES berada di peringkat 1200+ dunia, sementara pada tahun 2025, UNNES menempati peringkat 1001-1020 dunia. Peningkatan ini menjadi bukti bahwa universitas yang dikenal dengan jargon “Kampus Konservasi” ini terus berkomitmen untuk menjaga keseimbangan antara pengembangan pendidikan dan pelestarian lingkungan hidup.

Rektor UNNES, Prof. Dr. S Martono, M.Si., menyampaikan kebanggaannya atas pencapaian ini.

“Peringkat ini adalah buah dari kerja keras dan kolaborasi seluruh sivitas akademika UNNES dalam mewujudkan kampus yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Kami berkomitmen untuk terus mendorong inisiatif dan kebijakan yang mendukung keberlanjutan, tidak hanya di lingkungan kampus, tetapi juga di masyarakat luas,” ujar Guru Besar FEB UNNES itu.

QS Sustainability Rankings 2025 menilai universitas berdasarkan tiga pilar utama, yakni Lingkungan, Sosial, dan Tata Kelola. UNNES berhasil meraih skor yang signifikan pada indikator-indikator keberlanjutan lingkungan, seperti pengurangan jejak karbon, pengelolaan sumber daya alam secara efisien, dan pengembangan teknologi ramah lingkungan. Selain itu, UNNES juga aktif dalam kegiatan sosial yang mendukung pemberdayaan masyarakat serta tata kelola institusi yang transparan dan bertanggung jawab.

Komitmen UNNES terhadap keberlanjutan tidak hanya terbatas pada kegiatan kampus, tetapi juga terintegrasi dalam proses pembelajaran dan pengajaran. Sebagai bagian dari misi universitas untuk menciptakan lulusan yang tidak hanya kompeten secara akademis, tetapi juga memiliki kepedulian tinggi terhadap isu-isu keberlanjutan, UNNES terus mengintegrasikan pendidikan berbasis keberlanjutan dalam kurikulum setiap program studi. Lebih lanjut, UNNES juga berperan aktif dalam berbagai kolaborasi dengan lembaga pemerintah, swasta, dan berbagai komunitas dalam mendukung pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDGs).
