Memaksimalkan Pesan Melalui Desain Grafis

Secara sederhana, desain komunikasi visual dapat dipahami sebagai suatu disiplin ilmu yang mempelajari konsep-konsep komunikasi serta ungkapan kreatif melalui berbagai media untuk menyampaikan pesan dan gagasan secara visual. Dengan mengkomposisi tata letak atau perwajahan secara maksimal, pesan pun tersampaikan dengan baik.

Hal tersebut disampaikan dosen Jurusan Seni Rupa dan Desain Komunikasi Visual Supatmo dalam Workshop IT: Mengenal Desain Grafis dan Power Point, Minggu (4/12) di gedung Dekanat Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Unnes. Kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh Gugus Latih Bahasa dan Seni tersebut diikuti tak kurang dari 100 peserta.

Supatmo menambahkan, dalam berkreasi, desainer grafis harus dapat memadukan komposisi menarik supaya membangkitkan pengalaman visual tertentu. “Tujuan pemaduan unsur grafis adalah untuk mewujudkan keartistikan atau nilai estetis,” katanya.

Adapaun unsur-unsur grafis yang harus diperhatikan desainer meliputi garis, raut, warna, tekstur, dan ruang.  Selain itu, dalam membuat desain, harus memperhatikan prinsip desain yang mencakup prinsip keserasian, irama, dominasi, kesebandingan atau proporsi, dan prinsip kesatuan.

Untuk mewujudkan gagasan menjadi suatu tampilan desain grafis tentu saja dibutuhkan penguasaan teknik yang memadai, dalam hal ini media komputer berikut program pengolah grafis seperti CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, atau aplikasi sejenis.

Pada kesempatan yang sama, dosen Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Akaat Hasjiandito mengemukakan pentingnya desain power point untuk pembelajaran. “Dengan memaksimalkan desain presentasi, diharapkan pembelajaran akan semakin menarik dan siswa dapat lebih memahami materi yang disajikan,” tandasnya.

Pada akhir workshop, peserta melakukan praktik desain dan dinilai langsung dari pemateri.

  1. @Kasmui: Terus software legal open source yg bisa nandingin Corel, Photoshop, Ilustrator dkk apa pak? Belum ada yang setangguh mereka. Yg ada cuma nambah ribet + nggak efisien

  2. Guguslatih bahasa dan seni memang luar biasa…, aku tetap salut dengan semua kegiatanmu terutama Workshop IT. Banyak halangan dan rintangan yang mengganggu, serta banyak orang yang ingin mengejekmu tetaplah optimis…, toh…. walaupun acaranya sederhana termuat dimedia masa kan….! alhamdulilah…..

    Salah satu wujud juga bahwa pramuka tak hanya berkiprah di dunia teknik kepramukaan saja..

    GUSLAT BASE telah menyuguhkan sebuah acara yang luar biasa manfaatnya, yang sudah mengenal design grafis semakin mengenal design grafis, sementara yang belum mengenal design grafis akan mengenal design grafis. SEMANGAT TEMAN-TEMAN PANITIA PERLU DIACUNGI JEMPOL LIMA ….. Terima kasih……. n_n
