Malarsih Doktor Ke-17 Pendidikan Seni Setelah Teliti Tari Gaya Mangkunagaran

Fungsi tari gaya Mangkunagaran antara lain melukiskan tatanan sosial, media ekspresi, kegiatan estetik, dan kegiatan ekonomi. Tari gaya Mangkunegaran merupakan cerminan identitas Mangkunagaran, di mana masyarakat luas telah mengakuinya. Masyarakat Mangkunagaran memiliki kultur tersendiri yang berbeda dengan Surakarta dan Yogyakarta.

Demikian antara lain simpulan disertasi Malarsih, mahasiswa Prodi S-3 Pendidikan Seni Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Semarang yang diujikan pada ujian terbuka, Kamis, 12 April 2018, di kampus Pascasarjana, Kelud, Semarang. Malarsih menulis disertasi berjudul “Tari Gaya Mangkunagaran: Fungsi dan Penegasan Identitas Mangkunagaran”.

Menurut Malarsih yang dosen pada Jurusan Seni Drama Tari dan Musik Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni itu, seni tari gaya Mangkunagaran memiliki perbedaan secara prinsip dengan tari gaya Surakarta dan Yogyakarta. Perbedaan itu ditinjau dari komposisi gerak, musik iringan, rias, juga busana. Malarsih menyimpulkan, perbedaan ini menjadi pijakan untuk melihat Mangkunagaran memiliki gaya seni tari tersendiri sebagaimana Kasunanan Surakarta memiliki gaya Surakarta dan Kasultanan Yogyakarta memiliki gaya Yogyakarta.

Promotor disertasi Malarsih adalah Prof Tjetjep Rohendi Rohidi, ko-promotor Dr Hartono MPd, dan anggota promotor Prof Totok Sumaryanto MPd. Hadir sebagai penguji dalam ujian terbuka yang dipimpin oleh Direktur Pascasarjana Prof Achmad Slamet MSi itu, Prof Tani Narawati MHum, Prof M Jazuli MHum, dan Prof rer nat Wahyu Hardyanto MSi.

Dalam disertasinya, Malarsih menyarankan, karena tari gaya Mangkunagaran memiliki banyak fungsi, maka sebaiknya seni tari ini dapat digunakan untuk membangun adat dan tradisi berkesenitarian pada masyarakat. Selain itu, melihat sejarahnya, tari gaya Mangkunagaran muncul dari adanya respek kesejarahan berdirinya pemerintahan Mangkunagaran dan fenomena kehidupan sosial budaya masyarakat Mangkunagaran. Berkait dengan hal itu, dapat dijadikan pegangan oleh masyarakat luas untuk dijadikan kerangka model membangun identitas dalam bentuk seni tari, sebagaimana yang dilakukan oleh Pura Mangkunagaran.

Prof Achmad Slamet menuturkan, Malarsih dinyatakan lulus doktor dengan indeks prestasi komulatif 3,89 berpredikat sangat memuaskan. Ia merupakan doktor ke-354 yang diluluskan kampus ini atau doktor ke-17 Prodi Pendidikan Seni. Malarsih menempuh studi selama 5 tahun 8 bulan. Untuk disertasi, ia mendapat nilai A.

Menurut Prof Tjetjep, lulus doktor bukan merupakan akhir dari studi, namun awal dari keterlibatan pada komunitas ilmiah.  “Selamat datang pada komunitas ilmiah dan pertanggungjawabkan bidang ilmu yang Anda geluti,” ujarnya.
