Mahasiswa Unnes Siap Berlayar Dan Mengabdi Dalam Ekspedisi Nusantara Jaya 2017

Sejumlah mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) dilepas secara resmi oleh Rektor didampingi oleh wakil rektor bidang kemahasiswaan untuk mengikuti program Ekspedisi Nusantara Jaya (ENJ) 2017 dari Kementerian Koordinator Maritim RI, Rabu (9/8).

Kegiatan yang melibatkan 68 siswa, 1000 mahasiswa, dan 2000 pemuda ini akan diselenggarakan dalam rentang waktu Agustus—Oktober 2017. Tercatat 11 mahasiswa UNNES, Eri Pradiptya (FIP), Ana Fatwatush (FIP), Rizky Yanuar (FIP), Iqbal Ibnu Jamil (FE), Erik Prasetyo (FMIPA), Umniyyatuz Zulfa (FMIPA), Rizky Zulfa (FMIPA), Fitriana Puspitarani (FIK), Tri Septa Anggraini (FIK), Maskuniawan (FIK), dan Adit (FIP) akan melaksanakan pengabdian di sejumlah wilayah di Indonesia di antaranya Jawa Tengah, Bali, Sulawesi Tenggara, Sulawesi Tengah, Sulawesi Selatan, Banten, dan Kepulauan Bangka Belitung selama maksimal 10 hari.

Rektor UNNES, Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum berpesan, jaga nama baik UNNES dan sebarkan kebaikan lewat dunia nyata dan dunia maya dalam mengikuti pengabdian Ekspedisi Nusantara Jaya.

Ditambahkan, Wakil Rektor bidang kemahasiswaan Dr Bambang BR menyampaikan, UNNES selalu mendorong mahasiswa yang berprestasi, tunjukkan prestasi kalian. Setelah kembali ke kampus dan membawa ilmu dan pengetahuan yang diperoleh selama berkegiatan, sebarkan pengalaman, inspirasi agar menjadi mahasiswa lainnya yang ada di UNNES untuk turut terpacu melakukan kegiatan-kegiatan yang bermutu.

Ke-11 mahasiswa UNNES ini juga menginisiasi terbentuknya kelompok ENJ UNNES sebagai cikal bakal kelompok mahasiswa yang akan membantu peserta ENJ dari UNNES di tahun berikutnya. Dalam pelaksanaannya, peserta ENJ dituntut kreatif dalam mengembangkan potensi masyarakat di daerah-daerah terutama untuk percepatan pembangunan Indonesia sebagai Poros Maritim Dunia.
Seperti yang dikemukan oleh Erik Prasetyo, mahasiswa Biologi FMIPA Unnes, bahwa dalam waktu yang sangat singkat, ia beserta timnya akan melaksanakaan serangkaian kegiatan yang membantu masyarakat pesisir di Pulau Bontu-Bontu Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara, salah satunya adalah transplantasi karang di laut Pulau Bontu-Bontu.

Eri Pradiptya yang dipilih sebagai koordinator ENJ Unnes berharap melalui program ENJ ini dapat menjadi salah satu pengalaman berharga dalam mengimplementasikan salah satu dari tri dharma perguruan tinggi.

Melalui ENJ, Pemerintah mengharapkan adanya perpanjangan tangan Negara melalui pemuda-pemuda terbaik nusantara dengan ikut terjun langsung membangun masyarakat di daerah-daerah terpencil, terluar, perbatasan, dan wilayah timur Indonesia. Dengan mengusung tema “Bersama Membangun Negeri” sejumlah 2000 pemuda pemudi terbaik bangsa akan diberangkatkan menggunakan Kapal Perintis untuk menjangkau pulau-pulau kecil dan terluar Indonesia.
