Mahasiswa Unnes Raih Predikat Terbaik III

Tim mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) meraih predikat terbaik III dalam Lomba Technopreneur Pemuda 2011 atau Lomba Inovasi Pemuda untuk Kesejahteraan Rakyat yang diikuti Perguruan Tinggi se-Indonesia. Terbaik I diraih Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Malang dan terbaik II Institut Teknologi Surabaya (ITS).

Hal itu disampaikan Budi Prasetiyo, anggota tim, kepada unnes.ac.id, Rabu (3/8), di gedung rektorat lantai 2.

Kegiatan itu diselenggarakan oleh Kemenristek kerjasama dengan Universitas Ciputra Technopreneur berlangsung mulai  tanggal 18 sampai 29 Juli bertempat di PUSPITEK (Pusat Penelitian dan Teknologi) Serpong, Tangerang, Banten.

Mereka adalah mahasiswa matematika Ali Shodikin, Achmad Fauzan dan Budi Prasetiyo dengan produk unggulan GEMATOP (Get Maling Laptop) sebuah aplikasi pelacak laptop hilang yang menampilkan foto Si pencuri, peta geo-lokasi dan data lainnya.

Santosa Yudo Asisten Deputi Iptek Industri Kecil dan Menengah melaporkan, panitia lomba Technopreneurship Pemuda tahun 2011 menerima sebanyak 321 proposal dan diseleksi dalam beberapa tahapan. Dalam Final ini diambil 27 tim kemudian dilombakan untuk diperoleh terbaik I, II, III dan harapan I.

Dia juga melaporkan, tim juri seleksi ini perwakilan dari Kemenko Perekonomian, Kemenristek, Kemenperin, Kemendiknas, Kemenpora, Kemen KUKM, Universitas Ciputra Entrepreneurship Center (UCEC), dan Praktisi Inovasi”.

Santosa mengharapkan, dengan terlaksananya lomba ini bisa tumbuh dan berkembangnya IKM baru berbasis iptek yang dipelopori pemuda untuk mendorong peningkatan perekonomian daerah.

Budi Prasetiyo mengatakan “selain berkompetisi, selama kegiatan berlangsung diadakan pula gelar pelatihan technopreneurship bagi para peserta lomba, dan para juara akan diundang kembali untuk mengikuti serangkaian acara puncak HAKTEKNAS (Hari Kebangkitan Teknologi Nasional) pada Agustus di PUSPITEK Serpong”.
