Mahasiswa Unnes Pentas Tari dan Keroncong di Thailand

Mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) akan mementaskan tari tradisional dan keroncong pada simposium internasional pelajar Indonesia-Thailand di Thailand, 6-10 Desember 2012.

Rombongan dilepas oleh Rektor Unnes Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo didampingi Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III) Prof Masrukhi, Dekan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Prof Agus Nuryatin, dan dosen pembimbing Rabu (5/12) di rektorat kampus Sekaran.

Prof Sudijono sangat mengapresiasi keberangkatan delegasi Unnes ke Thailand untuk mengenalkan kebudayaan tradisional Indonesia kepada masyarakat negara lain kerana selaras dengan konservasi yang di usung Unnes.

“Saya mengapresiasi dan sangat senang, apalagi kunjungan ini membawa misi mengenalkan budaya tradisional Indonesia ke negara lain sekaligus mengenalkan budaya konservasi yang mempunyai 7 pilar salah satunya yakni pilar ‘Seni dan Budaya’,” kata Rektor Unnes.

Di tempat terpisah setelah pelepasan, PR III Unnes Prof Masrukhi menjelaskan, kunjungan tim berjumlah 24 orang terdiri atas tari tradisional (9 mahasiswa), keroncong (7 mahasiswa), ditambah dosen pendamping, perwakilan dari Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM), dan Unit Kegiatan Mahasiwa (UKM). Mereka memenuhi undangan dari Atase Pendidikan pada Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI) untuk Kerajaan Thailand di Bangkok.

Prof Masrukhi mengatakan, di Thailand mereka menampilkan pergelaran kolaborasi tari tradisional dan keroncong di dua perguruan tinggi di negara itu bersama dengan tim musik dari tuan rumah dan Myanmar menampilkan berbagai kekhasan seni tradisional yang dimiliki masing-masing negara.

“Unnes sudah beberapa kali diundang ke sejumlah negara untuk menampilkan kesenian, seperti di Perancis pada Juli 2012 kemarin. Ketika itu Unnes membawa tim karawitan dan wayang. Ternyata antusias masyarakat Perancis terhadap pertunjukan karawitan dan wayang sangat luar biasa,” kata Prof Masrukhi.
