Mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Juara I Kompetisi Debat

Dua mahasiswa semester 6 Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Ika Rizki Refima Putri dan Vania Nasywa Ulayya, meraih juara I dalam kompetisi debat pada Nursing Festival (NURFEST) 2025, yang diselenggarakan oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa S-1 Keperawatan Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus).

Dengan mengusung tema “Bersinar dalam Kompetisi, Bersatu dalam Harmoni, Meningkatkan Keunggulan dan Inovasi dalam Keperawatan” NURFEST 2025 menghadirkan kompetisi debat bergengsi dengan format British Parliamentary. Ajang ini bertujuan mengasah kemampuan analisis, argumentasi logis, serta keterampilan public speaking mahasiswa dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di tingkat Provinsi Jawa Tengah.

Kompetisi berlangsung sejak 14 April hingga 4 Mei 2025 dan ditutup di Gedung NRC Unimus. Dengan semangat tinggi dan persiapan matang, Ika dan Vania berhasil mengungguli tim dari Unimus yang meraih juara II dan UIN Walisongo yang meraih juara III.

Debat berlangsung dalam tiga babak dengan 4 tim, masing-masing dengan mosi berbeda. Pada setiap babak, tim UNNES konsisten menempati peringkat pertama dalam perolehan skor, hingga akhirnya dinobatkan sebagai juara I.

“Semoga dapat menginspirasi teman-teman semuanya untuk terus berprestasi di bidang debat dan membawa nama baik UNNES,” ujar Vania.

Dukungan terhadap SDGs poin 4 tercermin dalam keberhasilan mahasiswa menjuarai berbagai kompetisi, salah satunya di tingkat nasional. Prestasi tersebut menunjukkan efektivitas proses pendidikan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan akademik, kreativitas, serta keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kolaboratif.

Kompetisi menjadi wadah pembelajaran yang menantang dan mendorong mahasiswa untuk terus berinovasi, sekaligus mencerminkan sistem pendidikan yang mendorong pencapaian potensi maksimal setiap individu.

Dekan FBS UNNES Prof Dr Tommi Yuniawan menyampaikan apresiasi atas prestasi yang diraih oleh mahasiswa. Ia mengajak mahasiswa untuk memaksimalkan kampus sebagai sarana meningkatkan kapasitas dan kompetensi, tidak hanya dalam bidang akademik namun juga non-akademik.
