Mahasiswa PLP UNNES, Setelah Penarikan Langsung Diminta Jadi Guru di SMP N 38 Semarang

Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan yang selanjutnya disingkat PLP adalah suatu tahapan dalam proses penyiapan guru profesional pada jenjang Program Sarjana Pendidikan, berupa penugasan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengimplementasikan hasil belajar melalui pengamatan proses pembelajaran di sekolah/lembaga pendidikan, Latihan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran, dan belajar mengajar terbimbing, serta disertai tindakan reflektif di bawah bimbingan dan pengawasan dosen pembimbing dan guru pamong secara berjenjang dan diperuntukan bagi mahasiswa Program Sarjana Pendidikan (S1).

Mata kuliah PLP mempunyai bobot kredit empat satuan kredit semester (4 sks), memerlukan waktu 4x16x170 menit atau setara dengan 31 hari efektif atau 42 hari kalender di sekolah/instansi mitra, tahun 2021 ini untuk pertama kalinya Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melaksanakan Program PLP sebagai pengganti Program PPL, dimana mahasiswa diterjunakan pada tanggal 5 Agustus dan penarikan pada tanggal 16 September 2021.

“Denissa Febi Triana, mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Jawa UNNES yang melaksanakan PLP di SMP Negeri 38 Semarang, selama melaksanakan PLP sangat baik dari segi etika penampilan, etika berkomunikasi, etika pergaulan serta etika waktu menunjukan karakter yang sangat baik, sehingga sekolah kami sangat membutuhkan pendidik dengan kriteria itu, sehingga kami meminta kepada Mba Denissa untuk menjadi bagian dari keluarga besar sekolah kami untuk menjadi guru” terang Drs Slamet MPd Kepala SMP N 38 Semarang saat mengakhiri sambutan penarikan mahasiswa PLP.

Rudi Salam SPd MPd selaku Koordinator Dosen Pebimbing Lapangan PLP di SMP Negeri 38 Semarang, menyampaikan rasa bangga dan terima kasih serta apresiasi yang sangat besar kepada seluruh warga SMP N 38 Semarang, karena salah satu mahasiswanya yaitu Denissa Febi Triana, langsung dipercaya menjadi guru, serta sudah diizinkan mengaplikasikan ilmu yang sudah didapat dibangku kuliah untuk dipraktikan di SMP N 38 Semarang.

Lebih lanjut, Rudi Salam memberi pesan kepada para mahasiswa, bahwa menjadi guru sebagai salah satu tenaga profesional, dituntut memiliki keahlian di bidang akademik dan pedagogi, seorang guru dituntut memiliki kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, profesional dan sosial.

Keempat kompetensi guru tersebut sangat diperlukan dalam menjalankan perannya sebagai pendidik dan fasilitator pembelajaran. Sejalan dengan tuntutan itu, UNNES merumuskan profil lulusan yang dihasilkan adalah tenaga kependidikan yang profesional, humanistik, memiliki semangat dialogis, dan menghargai serta mengembangkan kebebasan dan kejujuran akademik dalam proses pendidikan.

Memenuhi tuntutan itu, Kurikulum UNNES menempatkan Mata Kuliah Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan sebagai mata kuliah yang mampu memberikan pengalaman yang lengkap dan bermakna kepada mahasiswa program studi kependidikan.
