Mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS UNNES Laksanakan Upacara Hari Guru Nasional Tahun 2022

Peran guru dalam perjalanan sejarah bangsa Indonesia sungguh besar dan sangat menentukan. Sejak masa penjajahan, guru selalu menanamkan kesadaran akan harga diri sebagai bangsa dan menanamkan semangat nasionalisme kepada peserta didik dan masyarakat.

Pada tahap awal kebangkitan nasional, para guru aktif dalam organisasi pemuda pembela tanah air dan pembina jiwa serta semangat para pemuda pelajar.

Undang-undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2005 tentang Guru dan Dosen menegaskan bahwa guru adalah pendidik profesional dengan tugas utama mendidik, mengajar, membimbing, mengarahkan, melatih, menilai dan mengevaluasi peserta didik pada pendidikan anak usia dini jalur pendidikan formal, pendidikan dasar, dan pendidikan menengah.

Dengan demikian, guru merupakan salah satu faktor yang strategis dalam menentukan keberhasilan pendidikan yang meletakkan dasar serta turut mempersiapkan pengembangan potensi peserta didik untuk masa depan bangsa.

Sebagai penghormatan kepada guru, pemerintah Republik Indonesia melalui Keputusan Presiden Nomor 78 Tahun 1994, menetapkan tanggal 25 November selain sebagai HUT PGRI juga sebagai Hari Guru Nasional.

Untuk memperingati momentum yang berharga ini, Mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS UNNES memberikan penghargaan tersebut dengan menyelenggarakan upacara bendera memperingati Hari Guru Nasional Tahun 2022 dengan “Serentak Berinovasi, Wujudkan Merdeka Belajar”, yang dilaksanakan Jum’at 25 November 2022 di depan Dekanat Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS).

Rudi Salam dosen Pendidikan IPS yang bertindak selaku inpektur upacara menyampaikan tujuan upacara ini untuk mengapresiasi peningkatan peran strategis guru dan tenaga kependidikan dalam membangun sikap, keterampilan dan pengetahuan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan.

Kristian Anggoro, mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS mengatakan sangat antusias mengikuti upacara ini untuk meneladani semangat dan dedikasi guru sebagai pendidik profesional dan bermartabat, apalagi kami sebagai calon guru.

Sementara, Siti Nuraini, mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS juga sangat semangat melaksanakan upacara ini karena dengan upacara ini untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepedulian mahasiswa akan pentingnya kedudukan dan peran strategis guru dan tenaga kependidikan dalam membangun karakter bangsa.

Upacara diakhiri dengan menyanyikan lagu Hymne Guru dan lagu terima kasih Guruku dan pembacaan do’a yang dikhususkan kepada para guru baik yang sudah meninggal maupun yang masih mengabdi
