Mahasiswa KKN UNNES Adakan Ngesrepbalong Expo

Sebanyak 15 Mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata Program Pembelajaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (KKN-PPM) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) bersama tiga dosen Indah Anisykurlillah SE MSi Akt CA dari Fakultas Ekonomi (FE), Anis Widyawati SH MH (FH), dan Eram Tunggul Pawenang SKM MKes menyelenggarakan Ngesrepbalong Expo.

Ketua pelaksana Expo Ihab Amanallah melaporkan, kegiatan KKN ini berlangsung mulai 14 September – 28 Oktober 2016. Expo ini merupakan serangkaian kegiatan pelaksanaan KKN di Dusun Gempol, Desa Ngesrepbalong, Kecamatan Limbangan, Kabupaten Kendal untuk memamerkan hasil karya masyarakat bersama mahasiswa dan tim dosen.

Ihab Amanallah menjelaskan, expo ini diantaranya bazar sembako murah, pentas seni, lomba menggambar dan mewarnai tingkat SD, pameran produk kreatifitas warga dusun, pertunjukan kuda lumping, dan pengumuman juara (lomba voly desa, lomba menggambar dan mewarnai, lomba kebersihan lingkungan dusun).

Alhamdulillah acara ini bisa berjalan dengan lancar, antusias warga begitu besar walaupun di pagi hari hingga menjelang siang hujan, semangat panitia dan peserta tak surut. Terlebih ibu-ibu yang sangat antusias untuk berburu sembako murah yang disediakan oleh panitia, tutur Ihab Amanallah.

Keunggulan pelaksanaan KKN PPM di dusun Gempol ini diantaranya diversifikasi produk olahan pisang (pelaksanaan 1 Oktober dan 11 Oktober 2016) berisi kegiatan pelatihan produksi, pengemasan, dan pemasaran olahan buah pisang menjadi produk waffle pisang, karamel pisang, dan nugget jantung pisang.

Kemudian, pemberdayaan Kelompok Wanita Tani (pada 4 Oktober 2016) yakni pelatihan pengolahan limbah rumah tangga. Sampah plastik bekas dan botol bekas dijadikan produk bernilai ekonomis seperti tas, miniatur kendaraan, bandana, hiasan bunga, piring, dan vas bunga.

Satuan petugas (Satgas) KKN UNNES Dr Dwijanto MS menyampaikan, kegiatan Expo ini meriah, dan sangat berkesan dengan berbagai penampilan yang ada. Kegiatan ini begitu bermanfaat untuk mengenalkan produk asli Desa Ngesrepbalong dengan keanekaragaman potensi dan kreatifitas warganya.

Selain potensi buah pisang yang begitu melimpah, menurut pengamatan saya, di Desa Ngesrepbalong ini mengandung potensi perairan yang sangat melimpah juga seperti di daerah Wonosobo.

Ke depan, saya rasa untuk kegiatan KKN berikutnya bisa memanfaatkan sumber air yang sangat melimpah ini untuk kegiatan perairan seperti ternak ikan, irigasi, dan pembangkit listrik tenaga air (PLTA).

Camat Limbangan dalam hal ini diwakili oleh Sekretaris Sodikin SH menyampaikan, Kecamatan Limbangan merasa bangga akan potensi dan kearifan lokal warga desa Ngesrepbalong. Terutama ibu ibu Kelompok Wanita Tani nya yang tangguh dan hebat hebat yakni 2013 lalu dibuktikan menjadi juara 3 tingkat Provinsi untuk Kelompok Wanita Tani se-Jawa Tengah.

Harapannya warga Desa Ngesrepbalong bisa mengembangkan kreatifitas dan inovasinya dalam berkarya dengan memanfaatkan potensi alam yang ada di Desa ini.
