Mahasiswa KKN-PPM Unnes Bersinergi dengan Kelompok Wanita Tani Gedongan Kendal

Sebanyak 15 Mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata Program Pembelajaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (KKN-PPM) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) memberikan pelatihan pembuatan produk berbahan baku pisang kepada Kelompok Wanita Tani Sumber Rejeki Dusun Gedongan, Desa Ngesrepbalong, Kecamatan Limbangan, Kabupaten Kendal.

TIM Program KKN-PPM  terdiri atas dosen-dosen UNNES, yaitu Indah Anisykurlillah, S.E., M.Si., Akt., CA dari Fakultas Ekonomi, Anis Widyawati, S.H., M.H. dari Fakultas Hukum, dan Eram Tunggul Pawenang, S.K.M., M.Kes dari Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan.

Eram Tunggul Pawenang S.K.M, M.Kes selaku Dosen Pendamping Lapangan menyampaikan, kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk menyalurkan kreativitas mahasiswa KKN UNNES untuk meningkatkan nilai ekonomis buah pisang yang dihasilkan oleh Desa Ngesrepbalong.

Barokat Zainul Alam selaku koordinator KKN menyampaikan, kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk pengabdian mahasiswa di bidang ekonomi, Selasa (26/9).

Barokat menuturkan, kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh potensi Dusun Gedongan pada produk pisang raja bulu yang melimpah dan sebagai buah unggulan, namun pemanfaatan produk pisang ini kurang maksimal.

Menurut keterangan Kepala Desa Ngesrepbalong Witoyo, kata Barokat, warga Dusun Gedongan cenderung menjual pisang raja bulu langsung kepada pengepul padahal jika pisang itu diolah menjadi produk wirausaha mempunyai nilai ekonomi tinggi. Terlebih harga jual pisang ini lebih tinggi dari pada jenis pisang lainnya yaitu Rp80.000/tandan.

Barokat menjelaskan, dalam pelatihan ini pisang raja bulu dibuat menjadi tiga produk olahan yakni keripik pisang dengan berbagai varian rasa (balado dan coklat), dodol pisang, dan selai kulit pisang.

Setelah pelatihan pembuatan produk diversifikasi, kemudian diadakan follow up berupa pelatihan pengemasan yang diisi oleh perwakilan dari Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (Disperindag) Kabupaten Kendal, dan pelatihan pemasaran serta pembukuan diisi oleh mahasiswa KKN Unnes sendiri.

Mahasiswa KKN akan membimbing warga Dusun Gedongan dalam mengembangkan usaha pengolahan produk berbahan baku pisang raja bulu, termasuk dalam pengajuan P-IRT (Pangan Industri Rumah Tangga).

Wilayah Dusun Gedongan dikelilingi oleh sejumlah tempat wisata sehingga produk diversifikasi pisang yang diproduksi oleh kelompok wanita tani Sumber Rejeki ini dapat menjadi sentra pasar industri yang menjanjikan.

Pisang merupakan tanaman sepanjang musim yang seluruh bagian tanamannya dapat dimanfaatkan, diharapkan warga dapat mengembangkan keterampilannya dalam pengolahan pisang menjadi bidang wirausaha baru.
