Mahasiswa FT UNNES Ciptakan Sepeda Listrik Berangka Komposit Bambu

Civitas akademika Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) didorong terus berinovasi untuk memberikan kontribusi pada Bangsa Indonesia.

Mahasiswa UNNES didorong memiliki  inovasi yang ramah lingkungan sesuai dengan visi UNNES sebagai perguruan tinggi Berwawasan Konservasi dan Bereputasi Internasional, agar bumi tetap terjaga kelestariannya.

Salah satu yang terus dikembangkan saat ini adalah keberadaan kendaraan listrik yang bertujuan mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca karena tidak membutuhkan bahan bakar fosil sebagai penggerak utamanya.

Menjawab permasalahan tersebut, mahasiswa UNNES Fakultas Teknik Arif Budiargo dan Muhammad Azziyadatur Rakhman yang dibimbing Dr Wirawan Sumbodo MT dan Rizki Setiadi SPd MT berhasil menciptakan sepeda listrik dengan rangka komposit bambu.

Sepeda listrik ini dirancang untuk 1 penumpang dengan beban maksimal 100kg. Sepeda ini dilengkapi dengan baterai Lithium ion 36V 15AH dengan daya motor listrik BLDC in-wheel sebesar 350Watt, dengan kecepatan maksimum 30km/jam.

“Secara teoritis sepeda ini mampu menempuh jarak kisaran 30-40km, saat ini masih dalam tahap uji coba,” jelas Arif Budiargo mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FT UNNES, Jumat (4/3).

Arif menjelaskan, pengambilan bambu sebagai rangka didasarkan karena bambu memiliki sifat yang kuat, sangat mudah didapat, dan mempunyai harga yang terjangkau.

“Pembuatan sepeda sendiri berfokus pada pengembangan rangka. Bambu kan mudah didapat di Indonesia banyak sekali, lah kami memanfaat itu sebagai solusi dan harganya terjangkau,” ucapnya.

Muhammad Azziyadatur Rakhman mengatakan, untuk faktor ergonomi akan dikembangkan pada penelitian berikutnya dan sesuai dengan standar SNI agar dapat diproduksi masal dan harapannya dapat dijadikan transportasi dalam kampus UNNES.

“Kedepannya kami akan menyempurnakan lagi sepeda ini sesuai dengan standar SNI. Inikan hasil skripsi kami Insyallah bakal diproduksi masal dan bisa digunakan di lingkungan UNNES dan bisa juga digunakan di tempat-tempat wisata,” ungkap Azziyadatur Rakhman.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum mengapresiasi inovasi dan merasa bangga kepada mahasiswa FT UNNES yang berhasil memanfaatkan bambu menjadi rangka komposit sepeda listrik.

“Ini merupakan inovasi penting pada ilmu pengetahuan, dan mahasiswa UNNES berhasil menjawab tantangan sebagai energi alternatif yang ramah lingkungan,” tutur Prof Fathur Rokhman.

Prof Fathur mengatakan, akselerasi Inovasi adalah salah satu tujuan UNNES untuk bisa bersaing dengan universitas di dunia.

“Dosen dan mahasiswa saya dukung untuk terus menciptakan inovasi sesuai dengan bidangnya untuk mendukung visi-misi UNNES,” pungkas Prof Fathur.
