Mahasiswa FMIPA Menjadi PesertaTerbaik di Youcan Global Heroes

Selama seminggu di Kathmandu, Nepal untuk melakukan berbagai macam kegiatan, Erlin Mega Priliani mahasiswi ilmu komputer FMIPA UNNES berhasil mendapatkan predikat sebagai peserta terbaik divisi Pendidikan.

Youcan Global Heroes dilaksanakan di Conference Hall Hotel Seto Gunan. Acara ini membahas mengenai Nepal dan kondisinya saat ini, bersama dengan Young Professional Society Development Nepal (YPSDN) dan CEO dari Kanti Cultural Center.

Erlin bercerita, kegiatan ini, kami dibagi menjadi 3 divisi yaitu divisi Pendidikan, Kesehatan, dan Ekonomi.
Program pertama yaitu dari divisi pendidikan. Kegiatannya yaitu memberikan pelajaran mengenai mimpi, cita-cita, serta harapan mereka untuk diri sendiri dan negaranya untuk siswa-siswi di Niharika school. Pengajaran di sekolah tersebut menggunakan bahasa Inggris, sehingga tidak sulit untuk berkomunikasi dengan siswa SD hingga SMA.

Tema tentang mimpi dan cita-cita serta harapan diberikan karena untuk memotivasi mereka agar tidak terpuruk dalam kesedihan pasca bencana gempa bumi yang dahsyat 2015 lalu.

Untuk divisi kesehatan, memberikan pengajaran Pola Hidup Bersih dan Sehat kepada siswa-siswi SD di Bhanubhakta School. Kemudian memberikan medical check up untuk guru serta karyawan disekolah tersebut.

Hari keempat yaitu dari divisi Ekonomi, memberikan pelatihan serta kompetisi untuk mempromosikan wisata di Nepal (selain Mount Everest) melalui sosial media Instagram. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh kalangan remaja di Nepal. Akhirnya kelompok dari salah satu SMP di Nepal menjadi pemenangnya.

Hari terakhir yaitu Cultural Show. Kami harus menampilkan kesenian khas Indonesia di Kanti Cultural Center. Selain itu, kami menyanyikan lagu Indonesia Raya dan beberapa lagu nasional lainnya. Acara ditutup dengan memberikan penghargaan kepada para delegasi yang terbagi dalam beberapa kategori diantaranya yaitu peserta terbaik setiap divisi.

Ia berharap, tinggal di Nepal cukup menarik dilihat kondisi, culture, dan habit yang sangat berbeda dengan negara sendiri, memberikan pengalaman yang tak terlupakan. Saya berharap teman-teman tetap setia mempertahankan serta komitmen untuk mewujudkan mimpi-mimpinya.
