Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Raih Juara 2 (SNEC) 2017

Arum Triasih, mahasiswa jurusan Akuntansi, Fakultas Ekonomi sukses meraih juara 2 dalam ajang bergengsi Soedirman National Economic Competition (SNEC) pada tanggal 8 Oktober lalu. SNEC merupakan suatu ajang kompetisi di bidang ekonomi Nasional yang diadakan oleh Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto, Banyumas – Jawa Tengah. Acara yang terdiri dari konferensi nasional dan lomba essay ini bertema SDGs (Suistanable Development Goals).

Arum mempresentasikan essay-nya yang berjudul “Entrepreneur House for Homeless Child (Hoci-Preneur): Strategi Peningkatan Kesejahteraan Kaum Marjinal Melalui Pendidikan Kewirausahaan Berbasis Kearifan Lokal”. Essay tersebut merupakan sebuah gagasan yang dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya berbagai permasalahan sosial yang menimpa kaum marjinal.

Soedirman National Economic Competition (SNEC) 2017 ini diikuti oleh 15 peserta yang datang dari berbagai universitas seperti UGM, UI, ITS, UNDIP, Unnes, Politeknik Negeri Jember, IPB, UNPAD, UNSIL, UNSOED, IAIN Jember, dan Telkom University. Setelah melalui proses seleksi administrasi dan presentasi, keluarlah mahasiswa dari UI sebagai juara 1, UNNES juara 2, dan ITS juara 3.

Arum mengatakan mendapatkan pengalaman yang sangat berharga setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini. “Semoga ide-ide yang mahasiswa sampaikan dapat benar-benar terlaksana dan mahasiswa tidak hanya bisa mengkritisi tapi juga memberikan solusi.” tuturnya.

Fakultas Ekonomi berkomitmen untuk terus mendukung dan memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan bakat dan minatnya. Harapannya, semua prestasi yang telah ditorehkan ini menjadi inspirasi bagi mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi untuk terus berprestasi.
