Mahasiswa DKV Unnes Sinergis dengan UKM Se-Jateng

Mahasiswa program studi Seni Rupa S1 konsentrasi Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV) Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) semester lima mengaplikasikan hasil karyanya kepada Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) se-Jawa Tengah (Jateng).

Mengapa mahasiswa memilih UKM untuk mengaplikasikan karyanya? Karena UMK itu kebanyakan belum mempunyai branding untuk promosi produknya.

Hal itu ditegaskan Rahina Nugrahani SSn MDs, dosen pengampu mata kuliah Desain Komunikasi Visual di sela-sela pameran produk sebagai syarat tugas akhir, Selasa (15/1) di lantai 1 rektorat kampus Sekaran. Pameran diikuti 53 peserta selama tiga hari Selasa-Kamis (15-17/1).

“Jadi mahasiswa betul-betul merancang desain mulai dari nol untuk menyesuaikan produk para pengelola UKM yang sebelumnya hanya nama produk di kertas saja yang dimasukkan pada kemasan,” kata Rahina.

Dia juga mengemukakan, menjadi mahasiswa jurusan desain itu dihadapkan pada kondisi untuk belajar melayani. “Karena nantinya desainer itu profesi melayani. Melalui kegiatan inilah, mereka berproses menjadi pelayan yang baik menjadi olah kehidupan,” ujarnya.

Selvia Meilawati, salah satu peserta pameran mengatakan dirinya mengaplikasikan kepada seorang pemelihara sapi sebagai kerja sambilannya. Awalnya dia hanya menjual susu sapi biasa yang siap minum hanya satu rasa. “Kemudian saya berfikir bagaimana kalau seandaianya susu sapi itu diberi banyak bvariasi rasa seperti dicampur dengan vanila, kopi, jahe, dan dengan apapun yang pelanggan suka dengan sajian panas dan dingin,” katanya.

Selvia menambahkan, dengan sedikit sentuhan kemasan yang menarik dan setrategi marketing modern dan lebih mengena ke para remaja, produknya meningkat dari sebelumnya. “Apa lagi dengan sedikit mengikat pembeli dikasih marchandise produknya seperti kaos, mug, tas, dan pin untuk sarana promosi yang strategis supaya konsumen tetap loyal. Jika promosi lewat televisi atau media cetak belum pas karena usahanya masih kecil-kecilan,” katanya.

Senada dengan Selvia, Angga Yafi H mendesain UKM kliennya “Pawon Angkrem”. Yakni suatu usaha yang bergerak di bidang kuliner.
