Hari Bumi, Mahapala Adakan Kegiatan Peduli Lingkungan

Bumi dan segala kehidupan di dalamnya merupakan satu kesatuan ekosistem yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Namun kini banyak oknum yang tidak bertanggungjawab sehingga mengakibatkan kondisi bumi semakin memanas.

Melihat kondisi seperti itu, mahasiswa pecinta alam (Mahapala) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) sebagai Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa yang bergerak dalam bidang lingkungan hidup tidak lantas berpangku tangan menghadapi kondisi ini.

Melalui peringatan hari bumi se-dunia tahun 2012, Mahapala Unnes melaksanakan serangkaian kegiatan pendidikan lingkungan dan pencerahan terhadap persoalan sampah. Diharapkan dari kegiatan ini akan menumbuhkan kepedulian dan memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam penanganan persoalan sampah di bumi, khususnya Unnes.

Selain itu, juga diharapkan dapat menjadi juru damai antara bumi dan sampah. Sehingga terciptakan suatu hari yang indah untuk bumi dan sampah.

Demikian dikatakan Tiara Rahmania ketua panitia seksi konservasi Mahapala Unnes di sela-sela memperingati hari bumi di kampus Sekaran, Senin (23/4). Tiara juga mengemukakan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama empat hari yakni pada hari Sabtu dan Minggu tanggal 21- 22, dan 28- 29 April 2012.

Adapun agenda kegiatannya meliputi penanaman di hutan mini kampus I (HMK I), lomba dan pameran desain tempat sampah organik dan anorganik, pembagian tanaman anti polutandi, serta penginfusan tanaman di HMK III.

Selian itu, juga mengadakan Workshop pengelolaan sampah organik rumah tangga pada pemilik warung makan se-Kelurahan Sekaran, mengidentifikasi tanaman di taman keanekaragaman hayati di Gunung Ledek taman (KeHati), dan studi lapangan pengelolaan sampah.

    semoga ini langkah yang bagus bagi MAHAPALA UNNES, peduli terhadap lingkungan, bukan hanya sekedar naik gunung, refting, dll, lebih bagus lagi kalau MAHAPALA UNNES bisa menjadi pilar konservasinya UNNES dengan banyak melakukan penelitian2 tentang konservasi tanpa harus bergantung dengan dana dari UNNES. tunjukkan kalau kalian bisa untuk mewujudkan konservasi UNNEStanpa bantuan dana yang besar dari UNNES

  2. like this…., jangan kalah dengan underbow2 jurusan… hehehehe, tunjukkan kalau MAHAPALA itu pilar konservasi, masak kalah sama underbow jurusan yang sumber dananya hanya sak iprit dari universitas, malah lebih banyak mengandalkan dana dari proposal2 penelitian yang di ajukan ke luar UNNES….

    ayo semangat MAHAPALA….. kamu pasti bisa melebihi apa yang dilakukan underbow jurusan2 UNNES untuk K O N S E R V A S I….. SEMANGAT!
