Lestarikan Lingkungan, Kodam IV Diponegoro Buat Ribuan Biopori

Panglima Daerah Militer (Pangdam) IV/Diponegoro Mayjen TNI Sunindyo bersama jajarannya membuat lubang biopori di kampus Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Sekaran Gunungpati, Rabu (24/9). Kegiatan ini merupakan serangkaian kegiatan dalam memperingati HUT TNI ke-69 dan HUT ke-64 Kodam IV/Diponegoro.

Kegiatan pembuatan bioproi dipilih karena sesuai dengan visi Kodam IV Dipongeoro untuk turut serta dalam melestarikan lingkungan hidup.

Pangdam IV/Diponegoro Mayjen TNI Sunindyo mengatakan, pembuatan lobang biopori di wilayah Kodam IV/Diponegoro yang dilaksanakan sejak Minggu ke IV Agustus sampai dengan September ini telah melampaui target 1 juta. Yakni total saat ini telah terbuat 1.012.825 lubang biopori (101,28%).

Pencapaian sasaran itu di wilayah Korem 071/WK target 252.000 tercapai 262.182, Korem 072/PMK target 280.000 tercapai 283.776, Korem 073/MKT target 252.000 tercapai 252.000, Korem 074/WRT target 194.348 tercapai 194.348, dan Kodim 0733/BS & Balak Kodam target 20.000 tercapai 20.519.

“Lubang resapan biopori merupakan teknologi tepat guna dan ramah lingkungan untuk mengatasi banjir dan kekeringan,” kata Mayjen TNI Sunindyo.

Seperti saat ini, lanjut Mayjen TNI Sunindyo, musim kemarau yang berkepanjangan menyebabkan kekeringan diberbagai wilayah di Jawa Tengah. Manfaat lobang biopori saat musim penghujan bisa meningkatkan daya resapan air. Jika keberadaa air tanah tercukupi masalah kekeringan itu bisa teratasi.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan, pembuatan lubang biopori ini sejalan dengan Unnes, universitas konservasi yakni memberikan kontribusi kepada kelestarian alam.

Unnes, jelas Prof Fathur Rokhman sudah menerapkan program satu mahasiswa satu pohon. Yakni setiap mahasiswa baru wajib menanam satu pohon dan dirawat, nanti ketika mau wisuda harus melaporkan sebagai syarat kelulusan.

Prof Fathur menambahkan, sekarang ditambah satu mahasiswa membuat satu lubang biopori untuk menjaga ketersediaan air tanah dan mengubah sampah organik menjadi kompos yang dibutuhkan oleh aktivitas fauna tanah dan akar tanaman.

    Asal diingat…biopori bukan hanya sekedar biopori…ada ilmu dan tekniknya..fungsinya…dan tidak asal sembarang tempat dibuat biopori….

    Alhamdulillah Unnes semakin mendapat kepercayaan dari masyarakat….semoga dengan kegiatan pembuatan lubang resapan biopori, air yang tergenang di atas tanah akan semakin cepat meresap ke dalam tanah, sehingga cadangan air di wilayah kampus akan cukup untuk kehidupan kita semua
