Dalam rangka meningkatkan hubungan kerjasama antara Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia (PTI) dan Perguruan Tinggi Asing (PTA) dalam bidang tridharma perguruan tinggi serta meningkatkan kualitas perguruan tinggi serta untuk melestarikan dan menyebarluaskan seni dan budaya Indonesia di manca negara, Direktorat Kelembagaan dan Kerja sama Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan menawarkan dana hibah melalui Program Muhibah Seni perguruan tinggi.

Program muhibah seni ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk menyebarluaskan seni dan  budaya Indonesia ke manca negara, tetapi juga untuk memperkuat pengembangan kelembagaan dan jejaring kerjasama internasional khususnya dalam bidang seni dan budaya. Oleh karena itu salah satu syarat utama dalam pengajuan hibah ini adalah sudah memiliki calon perguruan tinggi mitra di luar negeri sebagai mitra pengembangan budaya dan seni melalui kesepahaman dalam bentuk MOU atau MOA.

Pada tahun 2012, Ditjen Pendidikan Tinggi melalui Direktorat Kelembagaan dan Kerjasama telah menyediakan alokasi anggaran bagi 3 (tiga) perguruan tinggi Indonesia untuk melaksanakan Program Muhibah Seni ini.  Perguruan tinggi yang dapat mengajukan proposal muhibah seni ini adalah perguruan tinggi Indonesia  yang memiliki program studi seni dan budaya. Secara lebih detil,  persyaratan pengajuan proposal dan jadwal pelaksanaan dapat di lihat pada Panduan Muhibah  Seni Perguruan Tinggi Ke Luar Negeri tahun 2012 yang dapat diunduh pada http://www.dikti.go.id.

Proposal diajukan  dalam  bentuk hard copy  rangkap 3 (tiga) dan soft copy CD (Cakram Digital), dan  sudah harus kami terima paling lambat tanggal 16 Maret 2012 pukul 16 .00 WIB  ke alamat :
