The Center for Journals and Publications at UNNES’s Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM UNNES) conducted a Journal Assistance program for Scopus and Journal Accreditation on Monday, July 31, 2023, from 08:00 to 11:30 WIB (Western Indonesia Time) through online means. This event inaugurated by Dr. Evi Widowati, S.KM., M.Kes., invited 21 journals from the Faculty of Law, including Indonesia Media Law Review, Contemporary Issues on Interfaith Law and Society, Indonesian Journal of Counter Terrorism and National Security, International Law Discourse in Southeast Asia, Indonesian Journal of Pancasila and Global Constitutionalism, Indonesian Journal of Environmental Law and Sustainable Development, Semarang State University Undergraduate Law and Society Review, Journal of Indonesian Legal Studies, Lex Scientia Law Review, Pandecta: Research Law Journal, Indonesian Journal of Criminal Law Studies, Unnes Law Journal, Journal of Private and Commercial Law, Indonesian Journal of Advocacy and Legal Services, Journal of Law and Legal Reform, The Indonesian Journal of International Clinical Legal Education, Law Research Review Quarterly, The Digest: Journal of Jurisprudence and Legisprudence, Jurnal Pengabdian Hukum Indonesia, Ikatan Penulis Mahasiswa Hukum Indonesia Law Journal, and Indonesian State Law Review.
“In order to enhance the journals’ and institutions’ reputation, such assistance will be frequently organized in other units,” she said. The assistance strategy is carried out step by step, as each journal faces unique challenges.
During her remarks, Dr. Evi Widowati, S.KM., M.Kes., mentioned that journals with expired embargoes can apply for registration in Scopus, while those with expired accreditation can apply for accreditation in Arjuna. The process of submitting to Scopus is not easy, as it entails various challenges, such as the diversity of editors and authors and citations from journals indexed in Scopus.
The goal of this activity is to increase the number of UNNES journals indexed in Scopus from 7 to 12 by the year 2023. Faculty of law also contribute to this target includes the journal “Pandecta.” Journals submitted to Scopus in 2023 include “Jurnal Biosaintifika” from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), “ACPES” from the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK), “ELT” from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FBS), “JEJAK” from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), and “Jurnal Pandecta” from the Faculty of Law.
