Lima Guru Besar baru Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) yang dikukuhkan menyampaikan orasi ilmiah pada Sidang Senat Terbuka UNNES, Kamis (15/12) di Gedung Auditorium Prof Wuryanto.

Prof Dr Wiwi Isnaeni MS menyampaikan orasi ilmiah yang berjudul “Model Project-Based Mastery Learning Biologi”, Prof Wiwi Isnaeni mengembangkan model pembelajaran Project-Based Mastery Learning (PJBML) Biologi yang digunakan pada mata kuliah fisiologi hewan. Menurutnya, dengan model pembelajaran PJBML dapat menumbuhkan dan menanamkan karakter konservasi, selain itu juga dapat membekali mahasiswa dengan penguasaan konten secara mendalam dan komprehesif, penguasaan hard-skill dan soft-skill, serta penguasaan keterampilan berpikir kritis, komunikasi, kolaborasi, kreatif, dan kompetensi pedagogic.

Prof Dr dr Mahalul Azam MKes mmemaparkan orasi ilmiah yang berjudul “Pencegahan Kematian Mendadak Saat Aktivitas Olahraga”. Ia mengatakan, pelatihan terhadap langkah-langkah bantuan hidup dasar serta penanganan cardiac arrest perlu diberikan kepada masyarakat. Selain itu, penyediaan on-site Automated External Defibrillato (AED) di layanan publik terutama di fasilitas olahraga juga menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat meningkatkan angka survival pasien dengan kasus SCA.

Dihadapan anggota Senat UNNES, Prof Dr Margareta Rahayuningsih SSi MSi menyampaikan orasi ilmiah berjudul “Keanekaragaman Hayati Gunung Ungaran : Potensi, Ancaman, Konservasi”.  Prof Margareta menjelaskan, Gunung Ungaran memiliki keanekaragaman hayati yang harus dipertahankan mulai dari tingkat genetik, jenis, bahkan ekosistem yang memberikan manfaat luar biasa bagi manusia. Model kemitraan Penta helix, meliputi unsur akademisi, bisnis, LSM, pemerintah, masyarakat, dan media menjadi solusi untuk menjaga ekosistem di Gunung Ungaran. Kemitraan penta helix tersebut dapat mendorong pelestarian keanekaragaman hayati melalui kolaborasi dan kemitraan yang saling menguntungkan.

Selanjutnya, Prof Dr Eko Handoyo MSi memaparkan orasi ilmiah berjudul “Keberpihakan Kebijakan Pembangunan Terhadap Pedagang Kaki Lima”. Dalam paparannya, Ia menyebutkan masih dijumpai banyak PKL yang ditertibkan bahkan digusur dari tempat mereka bekerja mengais rezeki. Padahal menurutnya, sektor informal khususnya PKL merupakan entitas ekonomi yang harus dijamin haknya atas pekerjaan yang layak sesuai dengan pilihannya. Secara konstitusional, hak tersebut dijamin oleh Undang-Undang Nomor 39 Tahun 1999 Pasal 38 ayat (1) dan Pasal 38 ayat (2). Oleh sebab itu, PKL seperti halnya kelompok masyarakat lainnya memiliki modal sosial yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menjaga kelangsungan bisnisnya. Hal tersebut yang akan meningkatkan kemandirian dan kecerdasan masyarakat dalam beraktivitas ekonomi dan berpartisipasi dalam pembangunan.

Terakhir, Prof Dr Yeri Sutopo MPd MT mengangkat orasi ilmiah bertajuk “Aerator Di Saluran Luncur Pelimpah Bendungan Berbasis Ecological Engineering”. Menurut Prof Yeri Sutopo pemasangan aerator di dasar saluran luncur pelimpah bendungan dapat mencegah gejala kavitasi. Menurutnya, dengan memasang Aerator dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi gelembung udara di saluran luncur pelimpah bendungan yang akhirnya memberikan sumbangan ke dalam sungai di hilirnya.
