Lestarikan Tanaman Herbal melalui Pendidikan

Perusahaan jamu terkemuka Nyonya Meneer menggagas sebuah inovasi untuk melestarikan tanaman herbal melalui dunia pendidikan. Menggandeng Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), perusahaan itu bermaksud menjalin kerja sama dalam pengembangan kurikulum. Kerja sama tersebut merupakan upaya Nyonya Meneer dalam rencana mendirikan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Herbal.

“Tujuannya, kami ingin memperkenalkan dan melestarikan tanaman herbal Indonesia,” terang Lili Siswanto, Beauty dan Healt Consultant Nyonya Meneer dalam pertemuan yang diselenggarakan di Taman Jamoe Indonesia, di Ungaran Semarang, Kamis (10/1).

Sebelumnya, rencana ini sudah melalui proses diskusi dengan Wakil Presiden RI, Departemen Kesehatan, dan Kepala Dinas. Lili juga menambahkan, sekolah ini dikonsep untuk menjadikan lulusannya untuk bergerak di bidang usaha dan produksi herbal.

Selain Lilis Siswanto, pertemuan ini juga dihadiri  beberapa perwakilan dari Nyonya Meneer dengan Prof Fathur Rokhman, Pembantu Rektor Bidang Pengembangan dan Kerja Sama Unnes.

Konservasi Tanaman

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Prof Fathur menyatakan kesanggupan Unnes dalam menjalin kerja sama dengan Nyonya Meneer. “Hal tersebut bersinergi dengan visi Unnes sebagai Universitas Konservasi,” katanya.

Sembari melihat kebun tanaman herbal, Prof Fathur juga menyampaikan potensi yang dimiliki Unnes untuk ikut melestarikan tanaman-tanaman herbal di Indonesia.

Melalui kerja sama tersebut diharapkan Unnes juga dapat memperoleh manfaat dalam pengembangan taman biologi yang telah dimiliki Unnes sebagai lahan konservasi tanaman melalui pengembangan Taman Jamoe Indonesia.

    Semoga ini tidak sebatas gagasan semata,,namun realisaasinya harus segara diwujudkan.
    Untuk Unnes, ini merupakan salah satu bentuk semangat konservasi kita, jadi mari kita bumikan semangat konservasi dimanapun dan kapanpun kita berada.

    Alhamdulillah kalau di rumah saya ada apotek hidup, syukur alhamdulillah di kampus ada taman jamu kebun wisata pendidikan Unnes, jadi kalau sakit tidak perlu beli obat, tapi tinggal memetik di kebun….subhanallah

    Syukurlah, kita kembangkan lebih menggema. Indonesia dengan sumberdaya hayati yang beraneka tentu sangat tepat sebagai negara pengembang pengobatan herbal. Go International menjadi usaha yang menjanjikan bagi income generation.
