Kurikulum Pendidikan Baru Tuntas Akhir 2012

KOMPAS.com – Wakil Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Wamendikbud) Musliar Kasim menyebutkan pembahasan dan penyusunan kurikulum pendidikan yang baru telah mencapai 25 persen dan dijadwalkan tuntas akhir 2012.

“Proses penyusunan kurikulum terus dilakukan, saat ini sudah mencapai 25 persen. Akhir 2012 dipastikan sudah rampung,” kata Wamendikbud di sela-sela pembukaan TOT Pembentukan Karakter pada Guru dan Kepala Sekolah di Bandung, Minggu (21/10/2012).

Tahun depan sudah ada buku dan penataan di beberapa sektor sehingga bisa digulirkan pada tahun ajaran baru 2013.

Meski demikian dalam prosesnya masih terus menyerap aspirasi dan masukan dari masyarakat, pakar dan juga dari beberapa stakeholder pendidikan di Indonesia.

Salah satunya yang mendapat respon dari msyarakat adalah terkait penyederhanaan kurikulum, termasuk melakukan pemadatan pada mata pelajaran yang diajarkan di sekolah.

“Penyederhanaan kurikulum menjadi salah satu yang mendapat respon cukup signifikan, termasuk adanya pengurangan mata pelajaran seperti di tingkat SD,” katanya.

Hal itu untuk merespon adanya pendapat yang menyebutkan anak dijejali pelajaran banyak, sehingga dilakukan penyesuaian dalam kurikulum baru.

Musliar mencontohkan, dalam kurikulum baru untuk tingkat SD diwacanakan hanya ada enam mata pelajaran yakni agama, PPKN, Bahasa Indonesia, Matematika, Seni Budaya dan Pendidikan Jasmani dan Kesehatan.

“IPA tidak ada, dalam kurikulum baru ilmu pengetahuan akan diintegrasikan dengan pelajaran lain. Termasuk salah satunya ilmu bahasa dikemas dalam konteks yang lebih menarik,” katanya.

Penjaskes juga diintegrasikan dengan penerapan nilai dan karakter, mendorong kerja keras dan cinta tanah air.

“Ini kesempatan menata kurikulum, jangan sampai ada istilah siswa terbebani. Mereka bersekolah namun tetap bisa menikmati masa kanak-kanak,” kata Musliar.

Dalam kurikulum baru, kata dia peserta didik didorong untuk mengenali lingkungan sekitarnya dan potensi masing-masing.

Di sisi lain, kata Wamendikbud model implementasinya juga masih akan dibahas kembali.

“Implementasinya belum disepakati, untuk tingkatan SD hingga perguruan tinggi, apakah plotingnya di sekolah kabupaten atau provinsi. Masih akan disusun dan disepakati. Saya sendiri tidak sabar menunggu 2013, seperti apa sekolah-sekolah menerapkan kurikulum baru itu,” kata Wamendikbud. (Kompas.com)

    Semoga kurikulum yang baru benar2 sesuai dengan kebutuhan, sehingga bukan hanya sekedar mengurangi beban belajar, tapi juga memberikan energi positif bagi siswa, menjdikan siswa lebih bisa mengembangkan dirinya.

    sebaik apapun kurikulum namun ujung tombak pendidikan “guru” belum dapat memahami maka itu seperti fatamorgana,….semoga diimbangi dengan kinerja guru yang implementatif dari kurikulum yang dibuat….

    gimnaya kurikulumnya mau di ganti heeee222 gimana kurikulumnya mau baik jika yg mengambil kebijakan kebayakan bukan orang yg sahih pendidikan dan di indonesia ini para pakar kurikulum sudah gak ada, dllll heee
