Kurangi Kesenjangan Layanan Kesehatan, Himpro TM UNNES Gelar Donor Darah

Himpunan Mahasiswa Profesi Teknik Mesin (Himpro TM) Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) mengadakan kegiatan donor darah bekerja sama dengan Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Provinsi Jawa Tengah.

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada Minggu, (9/11) di halaman Masjid Alfarizi Fakultas Teknik UNNES dan terbuka bagi mahasiswa serta masyarakat sekitar.

Kegiatan donor darah ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian sosial mahasiswa sekaligus mendukung pemenuhan kebutuhan darah aman bagi masyarakat Jawa Tengah. Antusiasme peserta terlihat dari keterlibatan berbagai fakultas serta partisipasi warga sekitar kampus.

Dekan Fakultas Teknik UNNES, Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T., menyampaikan apresiasinya terhadap kegiatan ini karena mampu menumbuhkan jiwa sosial dan empati mahasiswa. Ia menegaskan bahwa kebiasaan mendonorkan darah sejak masa kuliah dapat memperkuat kesehatan dan memberi manfaat nyata bagi sesama.

Pelaksanaan donor darah ini juga mencerminkan komitmen UNNES terhadap pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya SDG 3 mengenai kehidupan sehat dan sejahtera.

Melalui penyediaan akses donor darah bagi komunitas internal maupun masyarakat umum, UNNES berperan dalam mendukung layanan kesehatan esensial.

Selain itu, kegiatan ini memperkuat pencapaian SDG 10 tentang berkurangnya kesenjangan, karena seluruh pihak tanpa memandang latar belakang sosial memiliki kesempatan yang sama untuk terlibat. Akses yang inklusif ini membuktikan bahwa universitas tidak hanya berfokus pada akademik, tetapi juga kontribusi sosial yang merata.

Himpro TM berharap kegiatan donor darah ini dapat terus dilaksanakan oleh organisasi kemahasiswaan lainnya untuk memperluas dampak kesehatan bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan ini sekaligus menunjukkan peran aktif UNNES dalam menjalin kolaborasi keberlanjutan dengan PMI sebagai mitra kesehatan masyarakat.
