Kunjungi Labschool, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Disambut Drumband

Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Semarang, Bunyamin MPd tiba di Sekolah Dasar Labschool Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Kampus Sampangan disambut genderang drumband SD Labschool Unnes, Sabtu (2/4). Bunyamin hadir dalam acara Open House Kelompok Bermain, Taman Kanak-Kanak dan Sekolah Dasar (SD) Labschool Unnes.

Berbagai hasta karya murid SD yang dikelola Lembaga Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Profesi Unnes ini dipamerkan sepanjang hari itu. Di antaranya hasil karya dari bahan bekas, keranjang dari koran, boneka tangan, pigura dari sampah plastik dan masih banyak lagi. Tak hanya itu, berbagai kreasi tari, lukisan, karya komik, penampilan karawitan, hingga marching band dipertunjukkan.

Berbagai macam lomba yang diikuti oleh kelompok bermain hingga SD di seluruh Kota Semarang juga ikut meramaikan acara bertajuk Berkarya, Berbagi dan Berinovasi bersama Labschool Unnes itu.

Bunyamin berharap Labschool Unnes menjadi sekolah yang terintegrasi. Terutama untuk jenjang pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD).

Menurutnya, dewasa ini anak kurang dari tiga tahun kebanyakan berada di bawah asuhan pengasuh yang kurang mumpuni. “Seandainya anak kurang dari 3 tahun sudah bisa dibina di Labschool Unnes, akan lebih baik lagi. Ke depan, saya berharap Labschool Unnes turut mengolah pendidikan usia dini secara holistic integratif. Kalau bisa ke depan ada tempat penitipan anak,” kata Bunyamin.

Dalam sambutannya, Wakil Rektor Bidang Perencanaan dan Kerja Sama (WR 4) Prof YL Sukestiyarno mengatakan, potensi non akademik perlu ditekankan dan terintegrasi dengan sekolah formal untuk mengajarkan anak-anak memiliki kepekaan sosial.

“Untuk menjawab kebutuhan sumber daya manusia yang semakin meningkat dari sisi kompetensi, maka orientasi pembelajaran di Labschool Unnes bukan hanya berpusat pada peningkatan aspek akademik,” kata Prof Sukestiyarno.

WR 4 juga mengapresiasi Labschool yang dikelola oleh Lembaga Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Profesi (LP3) Unnes itu.

“Selain potensi akademis, labschool juga menggali potensi non-akademis. Labschool menyediakan jenjang pendidikan berkesinambungan dari kelompok bermain hingga sekolah dasar,” kata Prof Sukestiyarno dalam sambutannya sebelum membuka acara yang ditandai dengan pemukulan gong.

  1. Adanya Labschool Unnes ini membuktikan bahwa tak hanya ingin memajukan pendidikan di jenjang perguruan tinggi, tapi Unnes juga ingin memberikan kepedulian dalam memajukan pendidikan pada jenjang anak usia dini.
