Kuliah Dosen Tamu, FIS Unnes Datangkan Dosen dari Tiga Negara

Dalam rangka meningkatkan iklim dan budaya akademik, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) Universitas Negeri Semarang akan menyelenggarakan kuliah dosen tamu (guest lecturer), Sabtu (30/4/2016) Pada kesempatan ini FIS Unnes menghadirkan dosen tamu dari tiga negara, yakni India, Malaysia, dan Australia.

Dr. Balraj Singh adalah assistant professor dari Department of History, Punjabi University, Patiala, India akan menyajikan topik India’s Policy Towards South Asian Countries”.

Prof. Dr. A. Rahman Tang Abdullah adalah Head of History Programme and Senior Research Fellow, Unit Penyelidikan Etnik dan Pembangunan (UPEP), Faculty of Humanities, Art and Heritage, Universiti Malaysia Sabah akan menyajikan topik “Rural Society and Economic Change in Malaya: A Historical Perspective in the Nineteenth Century”.

Adapun Johan Richard Weintré, Ph.D, adalah Chairperson of the International Indonesian Forum for Asian Studies (IIFAS) – Australia; PhD Philosophy Flinders University Adelaide Australia, akan mengupas tentang “Exploring Dayak Governance Capacity in Regional Autonomy”.

Wakil Dekan Bidang Akademik FIS Unnes Prof Wasino berharap mahasiswa dan dosen FIS memperoleh manfaat akademis melalui kajian ilmiah yang dipaparkan narasumber tersebut.

“Kegiatan ini sekaligus untuk mengawali kerjasama FIS dengan universitas luar negeri, selain bentuk kerjasama lainnya seperti penelitian bersama (collaboration research) yang sudah dirancang, dan ini juga sangat mendukung Unnes go internasional,” ungkapnya.

  2. Menyelenggarakan kuliah dosen tamu merupakan salah satu upaya yang dipandang perlu mengingat misi unnes untuk menyelenggarakan dan mengembangkan pendidikan yang unggul dan bertaraf internasional di bidang kependidikan dan non kependidikan.
    Selain itu, kuliah dosen tamu ini memiliki manfaat yang sangat luas, diantaranya membuka wawasan baru dan meningkatkan kualitas pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi serta mengoptimalkan proses belajar-mengajar. Jadi, pengetahuan mahasiswa lebih berkualitas dan tidak terpaku pada nasional saja tapi juga mengetahui kondisi secara global.
