Satu Disertasi, Empat Bentuk Publikasi

Para doktor alumni Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) diharap tidak berpuas diri setelah disertasi diujikan. Agar bermanfaat bagi masyarakat, disertasi harus diublikasikan. Selain dalam bentuk jurnal, disertasi dapat dipublikasikan dalam bentuk buku, buku ajar, juga artikel populer media massa.

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan ajakn itu saat membuka ujian bagi 7 calon doktor, Rabu (22/1). Ia berharap, doktor lulusan Progam Pascasarjana (PPs) Unnes akan terus mengembangkan diri usai lulus.

“Doktor yang baik tidak akan membanggakan disertasi sebagai karya terbaik. Doktor yang baik justru akan merasa disertasinya telah usang karena dia sudah memiliki karya lain yang lebih baik,” katanya.

Ia menilai, kebermaknaan penelitian tidak terletak pada disertasinya, tapi bagaimana para doktor itu mengamalkannya. Selain itu, para doktor juga memiliki tanggung jawab menyuguhkan kebaruan kepada masyarkat.  “Oleh karena itu, jangan lelah berpikir,” lanjut Prof Fathur.

Asisten Direktur Bidang Akademik PPs Unnes Prof Dr rer.nat. Wahyu Hardyanto MSi mencatat, hingga saat ini lembaganya telah meluluskan 140 doktor. Dari jumlah tersebut, 97 adalah doktor bidang manajemen pendidikan, 24 doktor pendidikan olehraga, dan 19 doktor pendidikan bahasa.
