Sebagai upaya nyata dalam menjaga konservasi lingkungan, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melaksanakan kegiatan bertajuk “Inovasi Sosial Hilirisasi Teknologi Sumur Resapan Komunal Terintegrasi Sistem Agroforestry untuk Konservasi Air di Hulu DAS Tuntang” pada Selasa, 9 Juni 2026 di wilayah Bandungan.

Kegiatan ini merupakan hasil kolaborasi antara UNNES, Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (DLHK), CDK 3, Pemerintah Kabupaten Semarang, serta Yayasan Akara Banir. Program ini difokuskan pada pengembangan teknologi sumur resapan komunal yang terintegrasi dengan sistem agroforestry, khususnya tanaman hortikultura seperti alpukat.

Latar belakang kegiatan ini berangkat dari kondisi DAS Tuntang yang berstatus prioritas akibat degradasi lingkungan. Tingginya sedimentasi di Danau Rawa Pening, tekanan alih fungsi lahan, serta intensifikasi pertanian telah menyebabkan penurunan kapasitas infiltrasi tanah dan meningkatnya risiko banjir serta longsor.

Melalui inovasi ini, sistem sumur resapan yang sebelumnya bersifat individual dikembangkan menjadi berbasis komunal dan terintegrasi dengan praktik agroforestry. Pendekatan ini dinilai lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan daya serap air tanah, mengurangi limpasan permukaan, serta menjaga keberlanjutan sumber daya air.

Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga bertujuan mengoptimalkan model teknologi konservasi air berbasis masyarakat serta menghasilkan desain infrastruktur resapan yang dapat diterapkan secara luas di kawasan hulu.

“Program ini menjadi langkah strategis untuk mengintegrasikan hasil riset dengan kebutuhan nyata di lapangan. Melalui teknologi sumur resapan komunal yang dipadukan dengan agroforestry, kami berharap mampu meningkatkan kapasitas infiltrasi tanah sekaligus mendukung keberlanjutan ekosistem DAS Tuntang,” ujar Prof. Nana dalam keterangannya.

Melalui sinergi antara riset akademik dan aksi lapangan, program ini diharapkan dapat menjaga kelestarian hidrologi kawasan DAS Tuntang dan Danau Rawa Pening secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini juga memperkuat peran perguruan tinggi dalam memberikan solusi atas permasalahan lingkungan di tingkat lokal maupun nasional.

Kegiatan ini mendukung Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya SDG 6 tentang air bersih dan sanitasi, SDG 13 tentang penanganan perubahan iklim, serta SDG 15 tentang menjaga ekosistem daratan.
